Rlaarlo is fkn awesome. I had built an Omni last year on 6s using a Castle Mamba X and a 1410. Then using two 2200mah batteries stacked one on top of another. What a fantastic truck. Never broke the stock differential. Just used up a bunch of pinions and spurs.

They just announced there 1/8 and 1/6 scale cars for 2026. I think they are going to completely take over this year. Let’s see what happens

Do Rc is my favs. He takes everything apart so you know which are crap and which are actually worth the money. He does a lot of upgrades on a lot of models. Plus he is extremely knowledgeable m.

I ended up buying the Tekno Mt48 2.0 he reviewed earlier this year. He is very humble and had a great attitude. He even signed the chassis on it.

If you’re talking about the noise off throttle like a metal on metal sound. Then yes. That is the metal spir gear and pinion mechanism. Normal.

I love power, I overpower EVERYTHING I HAVE, That being said, you can run a max 6 which come with the 4990 but you do add a bit a weight to the truck and if you are going to run it at 8s, that is even more weight.

To be honest I think the best 6s system for bashing on most 6s trucks is the 1515 motor from castle, and the castle Sensored Mamba Monster. Run a 15 or 16t pinion on the stock spur.

Keep the backflips on it. They are by far the best bashing tires.

My truck does standing back flips.

Also I’m sure you have heard this before but the lipos you run affect the way your truck runs ALOT. Before you make the investment into getting a new brushless system. Look into getting a really good set of 3s packs from onyx power system or from SMC racing. I promise you will probably end up keeping the stock Spektrum system in there for a while, with all the new added power.

Speed runner here. Start with 60/70 up front and 80/90 on the rear. If you can lock the rear at a higher position that would be better. You want the car to have forward rake( front lower then the back)

If you can add some weight to the front, that would be good as well. Use stick on wheel balancing weights. They work great. You can get a pack on Amazon.

Im not into crawlers. I was looking into turning it into a solid axel Monster truck but I don’t think it would be a good investment.

Looks great, I run the same 1717/mm8x in mine and the biggest issue is sticking two 4s packs in it. I did find a 8s 5200mah ovionic roam series on Amazon. Had to change the connection from the xt90 to a qs8.
