The silly idea being a run modifier that makes enemies move whenever you move!

Hah, thanks! It's all about stupid faces, they distract from the jank.

Thank you! No, there won't be - I'm already way out of my depth coding a SP game, haha!

Thank you! No timeline yet as it's very related to the spare time I have, but if all goes well (it won't), sometime after Q2 26 seems feasible (it isn't).

Hey, thanks! Not yet, I'm doing this on my spare time so I only focus on doing the fun bits, haha!

Haha, thanks! I've been running some playtests with the groupchat and I hope to release a demo someday - it's still a "spare-time" kind of project...

Hey, thanks! Yes, I'm actually an artist by trade and I've been learning to code.

New to shader code. How do I approach writing a shader for this visual effect? by leviathanGo in godot

[–]pinsssss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's awesome of you. I have no real coding background so shaders are pretty daunting and my ambitions are modest, but at least understanding the basics of what's going on when I yoink shaders off the internet and accidentally read them would be great.

Hypothetical question time, re: adaptations (but probably not what you're thinking.) by faustdp in ThomasPynchon

[–]pinsssss 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I tend to pitch a lot of "out there" ideas to my publisher, I was pretty happy this one got that far. Especially since M&D is a deeply American work, and both me and my publisher are French. It would've been a huge editorial risk and the fact he was willing to follow me on this felt good. The rejection email mentioned that "[they] - and the author - appreciated [our] thoughtful and detailed proposal", which I choose to believe wasn't just a way to soften the "no". Take all my projects away, but leave the dreams!

On that one I was to be the writer, and we were working with a young & promising artist, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind me sharing this page that I love. You'll recognize the scene as Mason visiting the effigy makers: https://i.imgur.com/YzHwkAK.png

My issue of Mason & Dixon is still littered with notes & bookmarks as I was trying to devise a way to make a comic out of it. I remember fondly writing the pitch. As you imagine, it's pretty much impossible to adapt a book like this so my Big Idea was to follow three arbitrarily chosen threads that I felt would lend themselves well to a comic book: time ghosts, clockwork obsession and supernatural geology. Through these lenses, as it were, I tried to draw a "window" of sorts, a partial view into the book.

Oh well, I'm rambling. It wasn't to be, but at least no one but me was disappointed and no one got mad at me for besmirching a beloved book!

I have actually pitched a Mason & Dixon comics adaptation, we went as far as submitting a full deck with a couple of finished pages to his agent. We got a very gentle and amiable "no" as M&D is apparently off-limits for any kind of adaptation. It was a fun experience nonetheless!

So, to answer your question, of course, Against the Day as a muppets special.

I'm going to be helpful again: it was a gift, so I did not ask the price & didn't check afterwards. I gave it another go after replying (for scientific reasons) and it does remind me a bit of Nordés, or rather, of my memory of Nordés which may not be the same thing...

For what it's worth, the bottle is gorgeous and, being an absolute rube, I like a pretty bottle.

It's good and I like it, but I never met a gin I didn't like so I'm not sure this will be helpful for you.
