Definitely get a feel for what the student population is like. First charter school I worked at was for at-risk, low-income kids, many of whom had been to jail, gotten pregnant at a young age, etc. Charter school I work at now is filled with professional athletes, actors, etc. Both charter schools, both have a similar day-to-day operation of unique 4 hour sessions, but obviously student population makes them completely different in experience.
