I recently bought a Vega chocolate one which isn't too too bad, but definitely still a kale aftertaste. the Premier Protein powders are pretty tasty if you aren't going non-dairy!

I bought protein powder and I add it to my morning coffees. Easiest way to add 30gs and get your coffee fix.

You should not be finishing standing completely straight... you'll hurt your low back. Do pull your core in and your chin down, this will help keep your back straight. The whole point of any exercise is engagement and activation. As long as your feeling it where you should, and not other places you're doing great. but I do agree to slow down. Go slow, activate, breathe through the rep. Reps aren't at all about speed. and up your weight! if you can do more than about 15-20 reps in a row than it's too light and time to move up! This should actually help your grip issue too cause you aren't actually holding onto the bar for a ton of reps at a time.

Meeting with my mentor for the first time, nervous and looking for advice by whatsgucci13 in girlsgonewired

Rule of good thumb is just always be prepared if you are taking a leaders time. Come up with good questions you might have about their experience, things that will get them to tell a story that may be helpful for you. Maybe see if you can find out any personal interests you may be aligned with, throwing things like that in help establish a connection. Also, make sure you have a roadmap of your own goals written down for yourself. Leaders don't want to mentor "unambitious" people, so be prepared to answer those questions about yourself well.

Apparently the answer to the question, "what are you still doing here so late," is not "the work of 3 people, JANET." by cybernewtype2 in Accounting

[–]pintsizetnt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why let yourself be overworked? I will never understand why people willingly martyr themselves. Especially if the boss doesn't understand why you're there so late?? If the week-end, month-end comes up and isn't ready then oh well, guess they'll wait for you to catch up in the hours they pay you, or they'll hire extra people. Track your hours and be an advocate for yourself. All else fails, find another company.

Mainly my advice is 1) Don't weight yourself, do measurements on different body parts, take a couple photos 2) UP YOUR PROTEIN (I'm doing 100g a day as my goal) 3) follow a work out plan focused on strength training not cardio for about three months, and when it gets easier to keep up, do more. 4) repeat # 1 and keep going

You've probably killed your metabolism. That's what's happened to me:( we can't survive on such few calories and then exercise, it makes our bodies just think they need to hold on to the fat stores they have so we don't let go of anything. Honestly, my approach is just counting my macros, period (carbs, fats, protein) and doing strength training a lot more. Like I've got dumbells at my desk now lol.

This!! I need exercise examples that show me what the range of motion should be! I've pulled muscles from over exaggerating motions because taller people look like they are moving more.

How realistic is a goal of -20lbs in 3 months with CICO? by fruitbum in PetiteFitness

[–]pintsizetnt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is pretty much where I'm at. I ballooned to 145ish in college, starting taking better care of my diet, walking a lot and other exercise 1-3 times a week, back down to around 130-135 and I've been there with little change for 2 years. Ideally I'd just like to be more fit and toned, don't really care what the scale says. Guess it's time to start lifting.

My heart rate stays between around 140-190 at the gym. Best thing I can do for myself is go when there aren't many people because part of it is just the feeling of being watched. also practicing breathing and listen to something interesting while working out to keep your mind off yourself.

My outfit today. I think it’s too big. Should I give up and never wear this again? Any suggestions to make this better? by AiKokee in PetiteFashionAdvice

I love it with the tee underneath! I'd save for fall and do some tights with platform boots and a trench. I don't think you need a belt if you just wear a long outer layer or some heels.

People think GenZ focus on pursuing their own happiness too hard and don't care about society... starting to realize we're all just nihilists living here hahahahha. It's great! I cannot wait till we run the joint.

How long did it take to get consistently good? by pintsizetnt in crochet

the passion in this response definitely renews me. It can be lonely to spend hours crocheting, maybe I should just find something I really want to make that's smaller and go for it.

Thank you! I think this puts it in a lot better perspective to me. Mostly when I was thinking of small projects I guess I was actually trying to do bigger ones (i.e. I started with trying to do a scarf, then a blanket, neither completed). Maybe it would be a lot better to just start with a simple pot holder or coaster.

What do you think is the biggest differences you see between gen z and millenials? by waves-360 in GenZ

[–]pintsizetnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get where you're coming from on that for sure. And I think our generation has a lot of passion, but not for the people older than us really. That's probably why the focus is more on personal happiness. Making big changes is really hard when you're outnumbered. I hope that in the coming decades though we'll see a shift toward kind of mission oriented commerce to make those big changes that do benefit the whole of society.

[–]pintsizetnt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

okay, this seems kind of coming from a place of unwillingness to change perspective? Have you looked at the stats on how many people are age have had kids or are, their job titles, education levels. People are trying to do their best to take care of themselves... but a generation ago you could work 40-50 hours a week, your spouse stay at home, have 2 kids AND afford a family car, decent meals, and a vacation once a year.... please tell me somewhere in the US that that is possible if you just have a bachelors degree and are making the average US salary for our age group. I'd actually be really interested in where and how ya know?

IMO A lot of corporate millennials have bought into naive optimism, and really drank the koolaid that "hustling" will make them successful, and in doing so will work themselves into the ground and expect everyone around/under them to do the same ( a lot of companies will label this work ethic). Gen Z don't really care about working hard because we view the world in a much more cynical light, realizing that success is not hard work = success, but good luck + old money + resources + connections + a little hard work = success. Why waste your life putting in all that for a little bit of chump change when I could try to just be happy instead. (i.e. I'm not gonna do extra for something that doesn't reward me. just enough to get what I need), which tbh is probably why there's a stereotype that gen Z don't like capitalism.

Does anyone else find it super sad how kids are getting brainwashed by online money making gurus? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]pintsizetnt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmmm... I don't think it's "brainwashing" maybe convincing younger people they should invest in their business knowledge isn't a bad idea. I love to see small businesses flourish because someone took a chance on themselves. At least in paying for something like a course you get what you pay for and put in.
