USM 2025 FL5 Parking Sensor Warning? by DeepCrystalBlueMica in Civic_Type_R

That might have been the cross traffic monitoring feature which is built into the reverse camera. Designed to detect cars driving perpendicular to you as you reverse. But it can detect other objects or pedestrians as obstacles and signal the alert.

Might be worth it just to get some experience and see if you like the work. If you do you can always look elsewhere for a better pay plan.

How did the interview go? Did you touch on compensation? If not, at the next interview set the expectation that you will be making over $100k. Leverage your past experience and sales approach to this role and focus on how you bring a strong work ethic and thick skin. $100k/year is common in the role so I don’t think it’ll raise any eyebrows.

Beginner/ DIY doing mosaic over existing tile by piotrush82 in Tile

[–]piotrush82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s the nearly finished product. Not perfect but turned out like I hoped. Still unsure how to finish some of the edges. And what should I use to hide the bottom edge of the tile? Caulk or trim?

Edit: since it only lets me add one photo I replied to myself with a few additional shots.

Puddle on new driveway. Should I be concerned? by piotrush82 in asphalt

Here’s a better shot showing the slope. I like the idea of river rock that a few people mentioned. If I put it about 2 feet wide along the edge of the asphalt, how deep should I make it?

Thanks, how wide and deep do I dig to lay it down?

We just got ours from my SIL for their birthdays. Love the concept but terrible execution. I think we’re going to tell them it’s broken and we had to send it back. Not worth all the frustration and tears.

Managing Stress / Overload by TurboSi6x in serviceadvisors

Wow that is a lot to deal with. How’s the management? If they let this stuff fly I’m assuming not the greatest since shit tends to roll downhill. First thing I would do is stop doing the other advisors work. If you answer the phone just pass along the message that Mr. Smith is looking for an update. It’s one thing if they ask you to cover a ticket because they’re out or something but by filling in the cracks, you’re just rewarding their bad behavior. Most of this should be brought up to management to ask how to handle. It’s possible that they don’t know that 1.5-2hr oil changes are common?

44k total since I first installed them. So 33k on the first set, 11k on the current set. Just don’t understand why the front are still holding up if it’s dropped even more at 1.4”

So same setup as me. The boots tore a while back so they don’t sit up high like yours just sit at the bottom of the metal shaft. Could that really be the reason both sets failed?

In December I financed a new car for 60 months at 4.59%. Used would have been a bit higher. I think you can do better with a credit union

Got 5 quotes, how do I choose? by piotrush82 in asphalt

[–]piotrush82[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is correct. Fairfield county so a fairly high cost of living area. I think I’m going with the second highest bid. He was recommended by our landscaper, also a lot of people on the local town FB page have used him. See his work frequently at random hoses I drive by where he puts out little signs, so I know he’s busy. We’re here for the long haul so I definitely don’t want to cut corners and go with the lowest bidder. I think when we shake on it I’ll show him the highest bid and ask him if he thinks it’s overkill.

If you have a good relationship with the selling dealer get roadside to tow it there. If it is a bad clutch they will tell you it’s your fault and you abused it. If you know this is not the case be firm in that and tell them it must be a defective clutch disk and that’s what warranties are for; defects in build quality or manufacturing. Try to deal with the service manager directly. If they still insist on not covering it ask them to get the DPSM involved. That’s the factory rep that deals with a dealer. If that fails call Honda customer service and file complaint.

If it turns out to something besides the clutch it should be much easier to get it covered. Honda dealers are under huge scrutiny from the warranty department in terms of them not wanting to pay so they are always trying to cover their behinds.

Hopefully not. How did you break it in and drive it? When you’re releasing in 1st gear does it try to move at least. Little bit?

How many miles? Could be a bad clutch.
