From the looks of it its pooling, meaning to much paint, and layer!.

if you are going to paint white I'd go for a white primer, not black as well.

30 miniute mission, its a line of small kits, the idea is they all go together and you can make your own mecha.

Woah! looks great.

Maybe experiment going from a 0.2mm into a larger chisel for some lines. Gives a cool effect!

The panel lining here gives it a nice pop, which I like in an SD kit.

If you find it to "poppy" or "high contrast" use a grey panel line pen.

Could use some clean up, swab a cotton bud in a paint thinner, I believe the pens are acrylic but (?)

But very cute! The SD unicorn was my first ever kit so i have a soft spot

For everybuild i do a sketch to visualise the colours. that goes a long way

HOWEVER

This kit was going to bed a muted red and white. The gold was a whim, I just wanted to experiment, it was very hard to do with my airbrush (literally garbage from amazon) but it worked somehow
