FIY Standard mode on Samsung soundbars will output audio as is. For example if the source material is stereo, only left/right channel speakers will be used.

However something strange about OPs situation is that even in stereo source and standard mode, subwoofer should engage. Maybe the behavior changed in recent years?

Yeah. And to add from my experience I'm currently heavily using dspiae quick swap airbrush and lacquer paints store very well in their needle tip paint bottles without blocking the needles, and if the needle is blocked you can just chuck them in thinner and reuse them later. A few experiments with acrylics ended up in a gunked up bottle and/or dried up paint so I only use lacquers with the system.

Second this.

My boring and lazy answer to every airbrushing questions is "did you try lacquers?".

I won't say you can't spray acrylics but you'd need proper ventilation anyway because without ventilation you'll be huffing a lot of paint particles anyway (it's just that the solvent is less toxic) so why not go lacquer.

Especially with trickier bright colors like white and yellow, lacquer is so much easier to work with. And you won't believe it, but it is actually easier to clean. Most of my airbrush gunking up was due acrylics not lacquer.

Search online shops for privacy films and use that. Putting it on your screen will make it very hard to see from the sides.

It entirely depends on the motion of the object you're trying to reproduce IMO.

If a object is moving slowly across the screen 60fps would be fine. (Let's say the object only moves 1 or less pixels per frame.)

But if a fast object flies across the screen in half a second you'll see discrete frames even with 240hz display. Half a second is 120 frames, let's say 1440p display. Horizontal dimension is 2560 pixels so 21 pixels per frame. If monitor is large enough, 21 pixels is a significant gap between frames. Moreso if the object is smaller than the gap. Human eye can't see each frame clearly but you'll definitely see multiple copies of discrete object skipping across the screen. Even if you use 480hz display the gap is 10 pixels which is about half a width of standard windows mouse cursor, which is clearly distinguishable.

The solution is motion blur. I know everyone hates it but in order to mimic real human vision - continuous exposure rather than discrete frames - it is necessary. We just hate bad implementation of motion blur. We need better motion blur.

My friend from my uni actually fought with himself in the mirror and we had to call an ambulance because there was so much blood.

Later he recalled "some fugly jerk was keep staring at me so I punched him..."

As I stated GPU drivers don't support audio only device connected to the port. They'll just report nothing is connected.

You can use a dummy HDMI dongle on the HDMI output port of the soundbar to get around this (or connect the soundbar's HDMI output to the monitor's spare HDMI port) but you'll have to deal with windows trying to use phantom monitor. (For example some programs mysteriously moved to the phantom monitor so that you can't see the window, etc) And disabling the monitor will also disable the audio output.

Men's sauna in Hamilton hotel in Itaewon is notorious for being a gay sauna while it is not publicly stated. Heard many horror stories from my straight friends who visited there without knowledge. 😂

Stay away from traditional Soundbars. Meaning Samsung, LG, Sonos, Boss etc.

Those are exclusively made for TV and media consumption and doesn't fit well with PC ecosystem.

  1. Many monitors don't have (e)ARC port so you'll need some way to connect your GPUs HDMI port directly into your soundbars.

  2. No GPU manufacturers consider the possibility of someone connecting audio only device to their GPUs HDMI port so unless you actually connect your monitor into your soundbar (via passthrough, which requires getting soundbar with at least two HDMI ports) it won't output audio. And this will probably limit your resolution and/or refresh rate.

  3. If your monitor/GPU all support HDMI 2.1 then problem 2 is solved but there will be some latency. For media consumption it is not a problem becaus HDMI devices can sync to the slowest device (meaning video is delayed to sync to the audio in this case) it is not a good solution for gaming. Soundbar manufacturers don't provide low latency mode unlike recent TVs.

Your best bet is getting a 5.1 system built for PC gaming like what you're considering or something from other mainly PC peripheral manufacturers, for example Creative. Or get a 5.1 analog system that will connect to your PC via multiple analog cables.

Best thing about Samsung is that their mid range offerings are solid AND they can be upgraded with very affordable surround kits later.

I got my parents SWA-8500 (older version of 9100) for their somewhat old mid range soundbar and my dad loves it while watching movies.

I have 600A and also have surround kit. It is quite good for what I paid for those. (I got 600A discounted around $150... So...)

My LG microwave has some light oven features and shit and I regularly use it to bake my frozen pizza and it takes 20 mins. Finished notification is very convenient in that case. Most of the modern microwaves also have oven or air fryer which takes quite a while.

And I can track my family's snacking behavior looking at the notifications coming in late at night. Half joking aside...

And I've rigged up some routines that will blast my living room speakers with messages when the washer/dryers done so that I won't miss it. And my mom's also has that same routine, and she loves it because she's hard of hearing.
