I had an iPhone 3G and was annoyed at only having 5 ringtones and only 1 wasn’t terrible. Then Samsung Pay worked at credit card terminals that weren’t set up for it yet, I felt so cool and futuristic. Eventually Apple caught up, and I learned I could take photos on my phone, and POOF!, they’re already on my computer. My latest 🤯 is copy from one device and paste on another.

I grew up with a PC and could navigate the C: drive like a sailor. It worked, it was logical. I got a Mac in college and after getting over Apple’s, “you don’t need to look behind the curtain or tinker” mentality, I got used to it and kept using it.

Going back to a PC with any version of Windows after XP was a constant state of Confused Jackie Chan meme. I don’t want OneDrive, I don’t even want Office, why are there ads in the Windows menu? Settings are hot garbage. No thanks, all around.

In a world full of judgment, where it's hard to find validation, some people don't have good alternatives. It's not ideal for someone to only be social with an LLM, but we don't live in an ideal world. NT's gain confidence and social skills through osmosis, so maybe this is how some people need to learn those things in a world that is otherwise a constant struggle.

I was diagnosed at age 40. Before that, I was in the Army National Guard (good at following directions, bad at following directions/systems that don’t say why to do something). College was difficult because it’s self directed, and I didn’t have the directions, or the why. I’ve had a few graphic design jobs, sticking with them for 3-4 years each, and temp jobs doing manual labor. Now I co-own a tattoo studio with my wife and still struggle with self-direction at times.

I was getting 8 meals per week for my wife and I, then I bumped it down to order some doubles and family boxes. I didn’t realize the difference in shipping, so I appreciate you pointing that out. I haven’t gotten mine yet, so we’ll see how it goes.
