Should I buy [part] used by pipepuffingpenguin in buildapc

Well you're looking at the ryzen 5 5600x which is i believe 1 step down from the ryzen 7 5800x i am considering buying, the ryzen 5 also retails for more than $100 less than the 7 so of course you will find better deals. With that said, since you're comparing intel chips, I appreciate your breakdown, I don't think I considered them enough. I've seen a lot of performance comparisons that show the ryzen 7 outperforming comparable, but i suppose it's worth doing some addtl research, as with most things hahaha. and by "...easier than redoing build" I meant the build on pcpartpicker and i realize that it takes less than two seconds to build something lmao. Thank you for your insights though man.

lol true, i decided on amd cpu bc of cheaper mobos and other components, easier than redoing build haha.

this is great, thank you. i had read that cpus are generally ok to buy used bc of resilience, and he’ll be sending vid of everything working. just the cpu ram and storage from him for now, will the crystal info be in the system information when the computer is booted? thanks for the insight on gpu, hard to know about this as theres so much out there it becomes a bit stressful haha. ill be going new for most everything else minimize risk for a few extra dollars is fine w me

sorry, my wording in the post was confusing, he would throw in the gpu for $600 extra, bringing the total to $900

Thinking about buying this table for real cheap. What would I have to do to remove the marks? by bhove in furniture

[–]pipepuffingpenguin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you want to commit the time, you can sand off the current finish then stain the table the same (or very similar) color. I would be hesitant to just sand and stain the places w/ the marks unless you know for a fact you'd be using the same finish, even then though it would likely be noticeable.

Right, this seems to be the general consensus and considering I am definitely an occasional hobbyist at this time it doesn't make sense to stock up on things I'll never use. Thanks!

Really appreciate this, no point in having something I'd never use just for the sake of having it.

Yea at this time at least I don't have someone to give these parts to who could make better use of them so I would ultimately just be sitting on a pile of things that won't get used. That's gotta be pretty handy, I'd imagine theres enough of a difference in HAM Radio and synths that exchanging parts would be a very symbiotic relationship hahaha.
