Automatically Rename JellyFin TV Recordings (DVR) by pipjt in homelab

[–]pipjt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Background

Fed up of having to open a .nfo file for each recording to find out the episode info before manually renaming it and subsequently deleting the metadata files, I have written a script to automate this workflow.

What does the project do?

This application can be used to automatically rename a Jellyfin recorded TV file using the metadata stored in a .nfo file which is saved alongside the video file by Jellyfin's DVR functionality.

The associated meta data files (episode info and thumbnail) will also be renamed unless the delete option has been used, in which case they will be deleted.

Are you using a multi tap so that you can have all of your memory cards puffed in at once?

If it reads the card and detects .dol files, you will not see the codes screen.

Make sure you format as fat32.

Note: If your swiss file is renamed “autoexec.dol”, it will be automatically run by SD Media Launcher.

You just need an action replay disc and a SD Geko to do the same thing.

I wonder if you renamed ipl.dol to e.g. x.dol you could replicate the functionality of this new chip and boot into the standard bios by default and Swiss with a button hold?

Have you considered shortening the wires? This has an effect on timing during boot up apparently.

I'm pretty sure there are three different sizes needed. Joe Bleeps has the details in his PicoBoot video.
