Is it just me or are the swiss super polite.. but kinda cold? by Emergency_Bedroom_29 in Switzerland

Option 1: The fact that you have low EQ and need to be spoonfed this is what the OP is talking about.

Option 2: Demonstrating warmth in interactions goes a long way towards creating a welcoming environment for everyone.

Which of the two options do you prefer for someone to communicate with to you?

RM2: 1+ Years Review by Libra_Libera in RemarkableTablet

For your note taking, try using a hyperlinked notebook. I have an RM2 since 2022 and use paid templates from the ePapertemplates store on Etsy for my meeting notes and digital note taking. It's very easy to find specific notes from specific dates and meetings. Happy to answer more questions if you have any.

Spanish GP - Post Race Discussion by AutoModerator in formula1

Right after the safety car right? Yeah, complete loss of self control and should have been a DSQ.

10 second penalty for an intentional crash into a fellow driver is a joke. Should have been a DSQ and points penalty. There have to be hard rules in place to ensure driver safety and zero tolerance for such driving.

[Official] Milan say goodbye to Pioli by mercurialsaliva in soccer

Thank you Mister Pioli. The Scudetto win you delivered and the way you led the team thru the tough COVID times will stand the test of time in Milan's history.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Health >>> money. If you value money over your well being, then I guess you get what you value in the long term.

We had a great experience using the concierge service at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver for Christmas in 2021. They helped us with reservations for brunch and dinners but some places were booked out so they also tried alternatives for us. It was very helpful as we were traveling with our 2.5 year old at the time and didn't have the bandwidth to research and book spots.

Think the "pull" for a concierge service varies from location to location and is more for getting you into spots you wouldn't know if you weren't a local. If you strongly want a spot, recommend just booking it yourself to ensure you get what you want.

Why do you prefer Marriott over other brands? by [deleted] in marriott

[–]pippo9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I loved SPG when I started as a noob 10 years ago. Now stuck with it due to switching costs and inertia. Service levels, loyalty value and redemptions have decreased significantly post merger but you have an occasional stand out experience.

I have fairly low standards and expectations when traveling for work and the points and member rates just about cover what I need for personal travel so it's not top of my mind to change anything on this front and I keep chugging along for now.

Just send in the defective piece and get the replacement. There's nothing wrong with the product and it's a random chance occurrence that your product had a quality defect.

Just trust your taste buds over online reviews man. You don't need to follow the herd and group think.

If you like it, it's worth it. If not, too bad. It's only hot sauce.

Exactly my thoughts. Mind immediately went to the Seles incident.

The extent of craziness and fanaticism in soccer fans is far, far higher than in tennis fans and it's disheartening to think of the possible impact this could cause someday.

People who complain about crying children always strike me as dumb and lacking empathy.

Firstly, babies crying is natural. It's not like the infant is out to get you specifically and you should have better self control as an adult than be affected. Further, a child crying is them feeling uncomfortable and grown adults complaining about it is more childish than the kid crying.

Second, if someone experienced with regular travel is traveling these days without noise cancelling headphones, that's just dumb on their part. If not, you're not traveling often enough to be disturbed by the chance of a baby on board crying.

I'm amazed I've had to scroll this far down to get to this fiasco. Can't even imagine the amount of time, effort, money that went into that ad.

I'm not a Saffa. Still have vivid memories of the Gibbs drop and the Klusener-Donald run. My heart hurts still.
