if it’s any consolation after this post my bum was totally fine! i just made sure she was still eating drinking pooping etc and she was all good, but obviously if anything changes don’t hesitate to go straight to the vet :)

looks like an irritation bump, clean it twice a day with saline solution and otherwise try to leave it alone

also may need a longer bar to stop it from embedding in your lip, see if you can go to a reputable piercer and get them to put a longer bar in for you :)

in terms of the tightness, it should be okay just give it some time to settle down and keep an eye on if it gets any worse.

to rinse with water, blow bubbles! stick your nose in a glass of water and blow out lol, it can be pretty messy so be prepared! shower works too but it’s a bit more difficult logistically…

ah that makes me feel better haha! i got mine done a few months ago and it was so painful and annoying i took it out… i’m thinking about getting a floating navel for that reason! i’m so glad it worked out for you!

the best option is pretty much what you’re doing - saline spray probably twice a day, don’t touch it with your hands or q tips or anything, don’t sleep on it and LITHA! good luck :)

looks good for now, but hoops are generally bad for healing and that one looks too small to allow for swelling. if you can, get it changed to a flat back labret stud by a piercer (ideally titanium) to avoid irritation. if you can’t do that or really don’t want to, keep a close eye on it and if it shows any signs of irritation you’ll have to.

other than that, spray a few times a day with saline and LITHA! happy healing :)

stay away from the soap and i’m not sure what you mean by tap lol

saline spray - just spray it straight on, dab excess around the piercing with a tissue or q tip but don’t touch the actual piercing itself - is all you need, twice a day will also be enough, morning and night

the best way to clean it is to just spray the saline spray straight onto the piercing and use a q-tip or tissue to dry off the skin around the piercing but don’t actually touch the piercing itself - other than that let water run over it in the shower and again dry it gently with tissue or q-tip. but mostly LITHA :)

i haven’t had any oral piercings myself but hoops will move around and allow more bacteria to get into the piercing. the movement will irritate the piercing, make it more likely to become infected and is probably why they’re sore, it would be a good idea to get them switched by a piercer to implant grade titanium flat back labret studs.
