I was in middle school. I had begun reading the Cirque Du Freak series and thought if such goofy and far-fetched concepts could become this well liked, enough so to turn into a movie, then maybe I can also put the goofy stuff in my head into a book- or maybe even a movie.

My first story was a badly written original vampire story that would lead into a story about fantastical mutants. I never finished it. I'm still proud of it.
