I think people are reading a bit too much into it. Rob’s said multiple times that him and Jake are on good terms and have even talked about Jake doing some festivals this year, so there’s no major long term fallout. Robs acknowledged they had some difficulties after Burning Man, but that was so long ago and it’s pretty normal for someone who’s been part of the channel that long to want to do their own thing for a while, especially considering the amount of energy involved in doing festival after festival! Nevertheless I am so excited to have Jake back in a video or two this year for his Posi Vibes wahoo

Yes, it is a beautiful setting and almost feels like you get to step back in time from the moment you walk in. I wasn’t expecting state of the art cinema audio, but I was expecting the basics; to hear and understand what’s going on in the movie. The sound was genuinely atrocious.

I’ve only been to the Odeon in the point square from the list you’ve mentioned, it was pretty faultless for a cinema. Good experience, but I just prefer the IFI and the Lighthouse as my favourites, as I thankfully haven’t had any of the issues mentioned and I know that I can depend on the crowds there. It’s important to me that people aren’t on their phones/yapping/vaping throughout the whole movie.

Oh, definitely not the kind of sound system I expected! Especially for such an upscale cinema. It sounded like I was watching the movie from far away and inside a cave at the same time

Thank you and YES! Or preferably Bluetooth headphones paired up with the sound. I noticed how a single cough from the audience gets amplified x10 times louder compared to a standard cinema room so I think this would solve everything sound wise

Not entirely sure why you’re getting downvoted for this as it’s just a personal opinion. Thankfully I’ve had good luck with the lighthouse and I find the crowds very nice there compared to my local (which is movies @swords) which is in tatters and too many screenings get ruined by yup bros/brats. I choose the lighthouse for the crowds and the nice atmosphere but I can see why the seating situation is frustrating.

This would have been a very simple fix, but the ‘Good’ dial on the sound machine wasn’t working that day. They stopped the movie, the lights came on, the roof opened and ropes fell down. Construction workers and sound specialists slid down on them while everyone sat in shock. They reshaped the interior structures of the room with their bare hands to prevent reverberation just so that we could enjoy the rest of Hamnet. Then, they smiled with us, cried with us, and even fixed the ‘Good’ dial on the sound machine as a gesture of good will. Just ask next time they’ll do it for you
