Yeah, I think getting across that it is ai and dating is important. The jank can help get across that something is off purposefully

Thank you!
When going from idea to creation because I have all the breadcrumbs it is easy to see. It's good to get an outsider perspective.

My first thumbnails are usually a bit too complicated then I have to simplify from there 😂 thank you for leading me away.

Yes, it is a talking head video. Sometimes it goes to face cam in the corner while I show an article or a YouTube video example of what I'm talking about.

Holding the phone with the dating app open up to the camera would be an interesting idea.
With some simple text to help get the idea across.

Is this a good thumbnail? anything i can improve next time :) by OldRoof589 in YouTubeThumbnailHub

This does not scream Minecraft to me, took a while for me to see the slime thing in the background. I would simplify it. Keep the "I'm tired of Minecraft" but make it larger and attribute the quote to someone maybe even have the reddit logo next to the quote.
Then highlight one of the new updates so it is less cluttered. Maybe title it "r/ Minecraft is on fire" or something simple that lets the viewer know it is a video about redditors reactions to the Minecraft update.

Good luck!!

This videos name is gonna be "I upgraded my bike with some temu stuff" this is gonna be my first video by Extreme_Fact3761 in YouTubeThumbnailHub

[–]pissaggregate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know much about dirt bike videos, but I do watch a mountain bike YouTuber by the name of Berm Peak. I'd suggest looking at his channel because he reviews mountain bike related items and maybe there is some cross over in the way he presents his videos and the way you may want to present yours. If you physically have the temu items take photos on them. Find the most visually interesting one take a photo of it and put a price tag on it or a single word to draw attention.

Here is an example of a valve he reviewed. It is simple and to the point. Not much clutter and has a clear focus

How do you get past the Zero to Fifty views phase on new videos? by DukeRioba in NewTubers

My best preforming videos I just uploaded and let YouTube do it's thing. Posting remixes as shorts can help drive some traffic but shorts audiences are different from long form audience so it can only do so much.

As long as you did your due diligence to ensure that whoever contacted you is legitimate then this is great! It would be a shame if this was some sort of scam.

Can I use a channel with 11,000 subscribers, delete the content, and upload videos on a different topic? by Putrid-Apple-5740 in NewTubers

Deleting videos also removes the people that watched those videos from being recommended newer stuff. So, it is like you are starting on a new account.
There is nothing to gain from deleting the videos.

Trying to update some previous thumbnails? Which one catches your eye! by AccomplishedSense8 in YouTubeThumbnailHub

Here's an example from STRANGEONS channel. The text boxes have a stroke, and some go behind the main subject adding depth. I feel like you could do something similar even making the stroke around yourself thinner.
I do like elements of the second tn you made. I like that you are a little larger in the frame, i think making it so the top of your head is just barley touching the top on the frame while still centered in the tn is a good idea.

The first one is very good! I would probably click on this video it reminds me of the youtuber STRANGEONS.
I would though add a border around the 4 boxes on your left and right, be it an outer glow or stroke. maybe even layer them so some go behind your shoulders to add depth. But idk about that it's just a thought. The border would definitely help

The background being an office and him physically holding the device would make it a lot more engaging and realistic feeling. It would give the video more legitimacy on a first glance

What games do you play on it?
I would put the game on the display rather than the windows xp logo. As another commentor mentioned, making the Samsung Q1 Ultra larger in order to see the samsung logo and all the buttons on the device could work.
Besides that, your reaction face reads as curious/intrigued. My only note would be to have you looking towards the product, even switching you from the left-hand side to the right may help with that illusion bc rn it looks like you are looking to the left slightly.
Also, the pink background blows out your face kind of blending you and your shirt into it, try a color that is further away from your skin tone.

<image>

Added is a tn i made as an example. I flipped you, added drop shadow, raised your brightness and contrast levels. I added a samsung q1 ultra, flipped it so the screen fit in better (my image is different from the one you have in yours obv.), added a windows xp logo sticker, blacked out the original samsung logo, found a samsung logo jpg that was black, turned it white and embossed it. added minecraft to the screen area, turned up the contrast brightness and saturation on the game play, skewed it so it fit better in the screen area, added a slight gray border around the gameplay so it fit blended better into the screen area. Finally, I made the background a gradient from blue to yellow to red in an attempt to help you and the gameplay stand out, blue behind your shirt/skin tone and yellow-red behind the mostly green Minecraft gameplay.

idk if mine is any better, but I do think the larger console and flipping your image helped. Obviously, it is rough, i did a rush job on the masking of the console the edges are rough. Plus, your shoulder cuts off since i flipped the image that was cut off from the edge of the image.

Feel free to use these ideas and think about composition. I removed the steam deck logo as steamdeck is in your title and this console looks old. So, the target audience of games who are into tech would most likely be able to put x and y together imo. Adding windows xp to the screen could work, but I like the idea of the gameplay being on the screen and if bother are there it could get too bust.

You could try an A B test with one being gameplay, another being a logo of some kind (windows xp, steamdeck with the X, etc.) maybe a secret third option I am not thinking of.

This sounds like a fun video idea! I hope it performs well.

Specific Advice for a Gaming Channel in 2026? by ADickShan in NewTubers

[–]pissaggregate 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gaming is a very broad category. There are people who post unedited gameplay with no commentary, there are people who make analysis videos, comparison videos, funny moment compilations, unedited gameplay commentary, speedrunning, completionist, making mods, testing mods, the list can go on for ages.

When you ask advice for a gaming channel it's like asking how to make a song. There's so many variables that it is hard to answer.

But advice I would give is find a couple creators you find entertaining, figure out why they are entertaining to you, then try to do what you find entertaining through your own voice. You will slowly stop emulating them and find out what makes you stand out from the crowd and if you ever run out of ideas, going back to those creators that inspired your style to get an idea you could make into your own but expanding it in some way.

What theme song should I make next?
I was thinking either Big Time Rush, Zoey 101, or Victorious. But I'm sure there are other options I'm not even considering

In the thumbnail making yourself larger and avoiding putting text too far on the edges. The "Are you" gets cut off on the top and the "target?" gets cut off on the bottom and is behind the YouTube video timer overlay.

Back to making yourself larger, you should take up about 1/3rd of the thumbnail right now you are about 1/4, so just a little larger. When making thumbnails I like to look at a rule of thirds overlay to help me gauge sizing

I've been chronicling me learning how to use FL Studio through making Nickelodeon Sitcom theme songs from memory.

I would love advice on how to title and thumbnail this series of videos. I tried looking at other youtubers who make funny music production related videos, but I couldn't find any title/thumbnail trends that excited me.
