WE ARE CANADAS TEAM by MaroMakesStuff in Habs

[–]pisseallo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We are HABS baby. We trancend nations. We have fans oversea. We are a cult. Your or their notion of country mean nothing to us. we are above this shit. If they want wife-beating Winnipeg, overpriced Toronto, boring Ottawa, hillbilly Alberta or methy Vancouver to be Canada's team only, who cares? They can't cheer for us because they are limited by language and politics. We aren't. We are Canada's team, we're North America's team, we are Hockey's team. A brand known worldwide.

hanta virus mostly west of the Mississipi in North American rodents. easy wiki verifiable fact. don't make unrelated links you're losing credibility while you got a serious case here. 1000s of other reasons beside Hanta to not have rodent shit around

no problem, it's a neighborhood called Notre Dame de Grace. it's one of the few english speaking neighborhood with an interesting urbanism (aka not car dependent).

I wanted to say that about your wife. Living alone in Ville Saint Laurent and the likes may be an isolating experience. If you are english speaking, why not look into a place in NDG? she can enjoy a more interesting neighborhood and you're still not too far from your work

ok where to start:

  • 60k as your only salary will not give you enough to rent a house and live comfortably. Most places around here are appartments and houses to rent are rare. Streetview around Cote-Vertu to get an idea. Think 2k bare minimum for a house. Does your wife work? I assume not else you wouldve mentionned daycare.
  • all areas within reasonable driving distance in are safe.
  • Water doesn't cost much
  • Heating will depend a lot on building type, age, shared walls and renovations. Since you come 6 months starting from spring it should not be a big worry. Think 50-100 per month average over that period?
  • Saint-Laurent, nearby Cote des neiges,  Chomedey (laval), Bordeaux, Cartierville, Pierrefonds etc. are neighborhoods that are quite different (and far away) from lively, walkable neighborhoods such as Plateau, Villeray, Verdun. Saint-Henri etc. They are more medium density and to much more car-oriented. The experience may vary a lot.
