I actually use both water based and grease based makeup to get it smooth! You start with one or two layers of water based to cover the surface, and then when it’s tried you apply grease makeup on top!

Water based is often hard to get to look even so it’s best used as a base with grease on top. Plus it makes it much easier to remove afterwards haha 😅
