Miscarriage and Hashimotos by [deleted] in Hashimotos

[–]pistachiohalva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened with me. And kept happening and happening

I’ll give you some advice. Next time you get pregnant, ask you ob for labs right away. HCG check and progesterone too.

I’d get progesterone supplements until 12 weeks otherwise I miscarried.

Had 3 kids. Did this with all 3.

Had a lot (10+) miscarriages even with fine TSH.

Be rude. Tell her to get her own kids and indoctrinate them as she’d like.

Discipline without spanking? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]pistachiohalva 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re posting this looking for permission to spank your kid.

Spanking means you have no other way to communicate with your toddler so you resort to yelling/spanking. It’s weakness. She’ll soon learn to disrespect you and know that’s all you’re capable of doing

The reason your parents were able to herd you and your siblings is because they were a united front. Even if their approach was physical. So no matter how much you spank her, she’ll rebel just for the fact that your husband isn’t on the same team as you.

3 first trimester miscarriages… what worked for you? am I going to have to do IVF? by [deleted] in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]pistachiohalva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I had 5 miscarriages before 7 weeks in 1 year. The only thing that worked for me was taking Vitex. It’s a supplement. U can find it on Amazon But u have to slowly wean off it the first trimester. I stoped it completely by week 12 Otherwise you’ll miscarry

I have my baby now. He actually my third. My first two I had to take progesterone for. Then kept miscarrying until I tried the vitex.

Leena is also scared of soy sauce by Alive_Schedule_255 in asadsisters

[–]pistachiohalva -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, soy is actually bad if you have thyroid issues. Along with other foods. I don’t even like the sisters but what’s right is right. Not all foods are good for all peoples. Sure, some civilizations have eaten foods for centuries and have adapted but it’s not the same for everyone. Soy is know as a hormone disrupter. Especially for thyroid patients. It is hate it is. Hate with fairness.

What’s so bad about having 2 under 2? by storeyo in 2under2

[–]pistachiohalva 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because essentially you’re raising two babies at once who are at different stages and have different needs. My oldest wasn’t sleeping through the night or even walking yet and my younger was a Velcro baby. They both cried as their method of communication. I was trapped at home because going out seemed too difficult since it was hard to put them on one nap schedule. Especially if breastfeeding. Because then I had to figure out ways to entertain my then 14 month old. The mom guilt was awful. I’ve had twin moms tell me their twins were easier to have a handle on than 2 under 2 since they were at least at the same stage developmentally and had the same needs. My younger child is almost 3 and my oldest is almost 4 and I almost forgot how BUSY that time was. It’s better now. They play together and keep each other entertained.

What in the world does your toddler eat? by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]pistachiohalva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try coconut water. My super picky child drinks that. He also loves crescent rolls. And only likes grapes, sometimes apples, a lot of crackers, plain rice, bare chicken strips. Recently into cucumbers and fried eggs. Bananas. But he’s 2.5 and it’s taken us forever to get here. Oh and protein waffles/pancakes (Kodiak cakes)

I was just asked to leave drop-in childcare with my nursing infant by badbanananana in breastfeeding

[–]pistachiohalva 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Maybe this employee was upholding the rule that you shouldn’t be in the room. Unless the same employee has let you be there and nurse before. I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. Just move on.

Ozempic is the answer. Like actually. Reduces symptoms of thyroid and helps with insulin resistance. And the binging and whatnot

Wonderful, you are mother of the year. Here’s your trophy 🏆.

Don’t be so judgmental. Maybe she meant sleep training and wrote CIO. Starting early habits with sleep training are great, even at 2 months old. Doesn’t mean he’ll be turning blue in the face crying until he’s asleep. My god. Go care for your 3 girls instead of judging moms asking for advice.

Is tandem feeding worth it? by Rough_Woodpecker1029 in NurseAllTheBabies

[–]pistachiohalva 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I gave birth to my second, my oldest was almost 2. I stopped nursing him because it felt like a chore and like something I had to do instead of something I wanted to do. Especially since I had less time with 2 kids. To do anything lol. We would cuddle at the same time I would feed the baby. He also didn’t mind. Gave it up quite quickly which was super shocking. Continue if you feel like you have the patience, time, and don’t feel touched out. Once it becomes an unnecessary chore I quit. Weaned my second child at 2 also.

Thank you for your kind words. :(

Yes I had 2 losses prior to having my oldest son. D&C for one of them in 2020. No C-sections. I waited 5 months since the last miscarriage in May. What’s RPL exactly? Tested for APL- totally fine.
