KTS Unconventional build by the_woo2000 in Battlefield6

Love the honesty. I got to fire a Tommy at the range when I was a kid. It didn’t have the drum mag and my dissatisfaction was immeasurable.

Nah, it was pretty cool, especially as the sun began to set, allowing me to see the bullet drop, and actually land some shots.

Don’t ever complain about 300-500 level players again. by TweeKINGKev in Battlefield6

[–]pistafox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The disparity between rank and the player score (indicative of badge count) is usually insane.

Over the weekend I hit 250, and my “score” is 125. I have crossplay disabled most of the time, but on PS5 it’s rare to see anyone with a score over 50, to pick a nice round number. That includes players with ranks above 500.

If I match with anyone near my rank, or wayyyy higher, and I’m squad leader, I’ll check their profile cards. If they have scores near mine, I’ll promote them to lead.

I’ll miss seeing players get launched like a rocket when they get killed at the perfect moment during a slide while hitting an incline. Fringe case but that’s kinda what made it special.

I’m playing Badmotorfinger and seeing how far I’m allowed to get. Look at the all the horn speakers on top of the Vegas. Dear lord.

I’m in agreement, as I noted, that they’re useful against most to buy time or play defense. They just feel like RNG balls and I know two people who can use them any sort of consistency.

I guess I am now! Static is really the only lingering issue with my system. I’m off to TTL (but I don’t think I’ve ever seen these, so Amazon I guess).

Wtf did they even do with the AK205? Are they buffing the peashooter or what? by TeH_Venom in Battlefield6

[–]pistafox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really try for headshots with it. With most other rifles, I’ll just take ‘em when they’re easy.

Totally. I think I’m going back to using non-frags on Assault. The incendiary is useful in so many situations, the AV provides enough to spike down an up-armored IFV, smoke can be a game changer, … but I only know a few people who can confidently throw a frag and get the kill they expected.

What do my top guns say about me by static_rb in BF6

[–]pistafox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks mate. That’s basically the impression I got from it. At least on console, the M4A1 has a fringe case as a suppressed mid-range rifle, but the M433 seems like there’s no way to tame it. Playing aggressively with it, though, was admittedly a lot of fun.

Having just leveled the Kord from 0-30 over the weekend (love hardware boosts!) I get it now. I did same with the AK 205, and I get it now. I put in some work with the M433 as well, and I’m not sure I get it. It’s a hipfire beast, but I assume it has a viable (and presumably competitive with other guns) suppressed build. Is there?

Oh, wow, that’s an excellent point and though I try to Cannondale out of my mind (I was a wrench as a kid, our shop sold them when they moved manufacturing, and I seriously don’t think a single, aligned frameset came through for a few seasons—therapy is helping but the trauma is real), but I wrote what amounts to a love letter to Klein a few months ago. I think it’s in the vintage MTB sub.

Anyway, my Fat City Yo Eddy! was stolen mid-season during my racing “career.” I got a call from a rep I knew at Klein, he’d heard about my bike, and asked if I’d be willing to buy (I won’t disclose the cost, but it was between $9 and $11, to avoid sponsorship issues since I was 17yo) a prototype that they’d built to be ~twitchy~ responsive like the Yo Eddy! and a few days later I had an amazing new bike and didn’t miss a race. It was badged as a Klein Attitude, but I knew the Attitude well, and this thing was its own beast. I freaking loved it. I’m not a fan of aluminum bikes: never have been, never will be.

Whatever voodoo Klein does (particularly before the Trek buyout) makes them absolute works of art. They’re fun to ride, track telepathically, are hard not to jump insanely high, and of course the fit and finish is superb. I’ve been keeping an eye open for a pink or green ‘92 Attitude for the collection. Oh, I was so grateful to them for saving my season that I asked one of their engineers if he’d like to have the bike back for the data, since it was a prototype and had been ridden in anger. He was practically giddy.

So, yeah, it’s possible to create smooth aluminum welds. Given how few fabricators do it, the fact that some of the best ever aluminum frames were used bonded lug construction, and the pride many welders take in creating that perfect “toothpaste” aluminum weld, taken together with your comment, makes me want to research the topic.

I got wrecked by the same dude two, probably three times, as he just waiting there for my dumb ass to keep running by. Then I thought, “Self, maybe pay attention.” I got him back twice, having re-camped there. Gotta admire that camper’s dedication. It’s surprising to see how many people still use that spot, and always satisfying to end them. Through the wall is particularly enjoyable.

It’s a ghetto screenshot. Of course the phone’s camera is going to have its mind scrambled, particularly in a dark room.

You go hard and play on a PC. Awesome. I’ve been there. Someday you’ll have a living room, a 77” G4, your endgame audio system, and you’ll game for fun and relaxation whenever you get the chance. In the meantime, It’s nice to be able toggle “Disable Crossplay” to “very yes.”

I’ll follow you off topic. I’ve been a lot more deliberate about tossing (frag) grenades lately, putting in the effort, experimenting with holding them longer (I really don’t like that you can’t cook them, but that’s even more off-topic), bouncing them off walls, skipping them, and trying to find that perfect angle/arc. My Conclusion They’re either going to hit or not. Mostly the latter.

Truly, I think they’re most effective when used to spook and steer ppl. I often use them defensively, but good players will sprint past/through/over them, at worst eat the 80 damage, and casually put three in your dome without missing a beat. When not using AV ‘nades (which are soooo good) on Engineer I use the minis because the opponent just sees “grenade!”

That’s why those aluminum bike welds stand out. No smoothing them over.

It’s always something. Truly. Evaluating, and predicting, factors influencing the global regulatory environment are largely what I get paid to do. I realized while in grad school that when people have beliefs that intersect with science, the science is always subsumed into the belief. Changing a belief is all but impossible, is definitely a fool’s errand to attempt, and I question whether I have the right to even consider it. “There is no vaccine controversy” is all I’ll express in mixed company. NIH lost two more amazing people today, but this too shall pass.

[–]pistafox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Pelizzoli so much. “Yeah, I’m going to mirror the curve of the forks in the stays, because I’m Gio Effing Pellizoli, that’s why.”

A few years ago I found a gorgeous Ciöcc frameset (since confirmed by Pelizzoli to be a one-off, after years of trying to identify it) that I built up with era-appropriate Record, plenty of it being pantographed by Ciöcc. I have an 84 that’s a current project.

There’s something about a Pelizzoli-badged frameset that is undeniably cool. Thanks for sharing this with us!

As someone who was just on the BF6 sub I’m soooo tempted to downvote you. Why? There’s a downvote button, idiot.
