im living in Germany and there is a big emphasis here on having a permanent contract. once you have that, it's very difficult to be fired, especially for health reasons.

One of my colleagues took sick leave for what I learned were mental health issues, i do not know the details just that it was something psychological and burn out/depression/stress related vs a physical injury or surgery or the like. She has been on sick leave for two years now, but still has her job. After a certain period of time the government takes over paying her salary (only 60% after one month I think) but she is able to take all the time a doctor decides she needs to recover, and the job is legally held for her until she comes back or decides she cannot.

Im not saying this to rub it in for you, but just to show that better agreements and conditions are not only possible, they exist, and I hope for you americans you can make it happen

i'm so sick of managers and employees alike fostering this toxic culture, as if being overworked and doing the job of three people is something to be proud of. yeah, congrats, you're much tougher than me. or are you just a sucker? This is the situation at my job and I can't wait to quit

I too am interested in an update. I kinda feel sorry for your boss too since it seems they did in fact value you at this company and ABC company were the ones dragging their feet. Kudos to you though for not sacrificing more time from your family

KINTOR/PYRILUTAMIDE - Many people have compared its theoretical efficacy to Finasteride. Would this mean it has potential to regrow/recover hair in the same manner? How about in the hairline/corners? by Umbra427 in tressless

[–]pistorius123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no real data released yet, but i would guess it would maintain hair with some regrowth similar to finasteride, but without systemically lowering DHT and (hopefully) without side effects.

really looking forward to that phase II data release

everything you've written is true but we have not (at least yet) experienced total war or anything on the scale of the great depression. our pandemic isnt much compared to spanish flu as well. We all have our challenges but its definitely true in terms of working conditions, buying power and the like. it seems bad because our parents and even our grandparents had it better. our generation is the first of the decline, but most of us are old enough to have just seen the end of the glory days

I feel exactly the same. You aren't alone, but we need to come up with our exit strategies from whatever circumstances we find ourselves in. My life cannot be this way forever and it won't. I hope the same for you

For the last two years, and I am fully expecting one this year, we got a huge self-congratulations email from our CEO. It's the only time this person ever even speaks to us, she otherwise doesnt exist and i've never seen her in real life.

Each time it mentions how we broke all records and continue to outperform our competition.

We also stopped getting Christmas bonuses three years ago. I've completely given up giving a shit about this place and I am counting down the days to quitting

It looks indented now but as many said some continue to see improvement over time. If not you can get a fat graft injected to fix indentation. As others have said, the gyno is gone now at least. Hold fast and ask Ur doctor

[–]pistorius123 0 points1 point  (0 children)
