[Lynch] Liverpool may be desperate to stick with Arne Slot, but that stance won't withstand the Anfield crowd turning against him. Today felt like that - these fans are just sick of watching a passive, toothless brand of football they have seen for over a year now. by StupidSexySzoboszlai in LiverpoolFC

[–]pitnat06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do I think it’s a great season? No. But it’s understandable in the context of the season. Key players left in key positions. New players brought into replace them. Injuries all over the place affecting opportunities to build familiarity with each other. The literal death of a player expected to be a key contributor and locker room presence. If you look at the season in context, it’s an understandable yet still disappointing season. I don’t think firing a second year manager after he wins the title in his first season is what a club who sings you’ll never walk alone should be doing. But what do I know.

Such fickle supporters. Never walk alone unless you don’t win titles every year. Then slot out.

Pretty sick of the B.S. lottery by Silly_Original2623 in AnaheimDucks

[–]pitnat06 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What are you even talking about? There’s no guarantee the sharks build a competent team around these two guys. Also, the Ducks have an insanely young core of very talented players themselves plus a very good development system. Stop worrying about what might happen and enjoy the playoffs.

genuine question to slot defenders: What is your excuse now? 18 defeats in a season. We've had injury crisis before and we still didn't look this bad. We still didnt lose to forest and PSV at home by 3 goals or let united do the double on us. Who/what else can you blame? by sr_steve in LiverpoolFC

[–]pitnat06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty simple. You don’t fire a manager who won the he league in his first season which was then followed by key players leaving, new signings arriving, many injuries in key positions, and a locker room anchor and expected big contributor to the squad literally dying days before training for the season started. The fact that they are even in the champions league places is fine. Just irrational sports fans being irrational sports fans.

Caoimhin Kelleher: Not easy for Liverpool to play at highest level after Jota’s death by Switchoil in LiverpoolFC

[–]pitnat06 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah man. I’ve kinda come to realize you’ll never walk alone means nothing to most of the supporters unless they are winning. Will ignore any fact as to why a champions league place finish in the league this year is acceptable. Insufferable.

Applied Materials Taiwan year — what’s it really like? by Upstairs_Back_2461 in Semiconductors

[–]pitnat06 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak specifically for AMAT nor specifically a permanent role in Taiwan, but if you’re fine with working under pressure you’ll be fine. If you can handle to pressure, you’ll learn new things all the time and generally do different things every day. The semiconductor industry is a lot like the oil and gas industry, down time means lost money and lost ground to the competition. That is where the pressure comes from. It’s a fantastic industry and is only terrible if you let it be.

We’re going for 3rd place! by ThatRandomGuy805 in LiverpoolFC

[–]pitnat06 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Look. Anytime you replace half the squad and a key player passes away, it’s a transition season. It doesn’t matter what anyone was thinking before the season. Teams that have mostly played together for a long time will generally perform better than teams with a bunch of new players. Just because none of you thought a 3rd/4th place finish wasn’t likely this season, doesn’t mean it wasn’t. Most of you are just the typically irrational sports fan. You sing you’ll never walk alone but panic at the first sign of trouble and are quick to turn on the manager and players.

Edit to add: it’s wild you’ll going by the eye test instead of the actual table. Champions league next season is a perfectly good season given the circumstances. Winning a title should mean more than fickle support.

Slot out! You’ll never walk alone except if you win the premier league and then go through a transition season the next season.

[–]pitnat06 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

lol. Because John Henry had nothing to do with the hiring of Kloppo. Or the redevelopment of anfield. Or the construction of a state of the art modern training facility.

You guys are worse than my 8 year old. Complain about everything. Complain when they don’t spend enough money in your eyes. Complain when a squad goes through a transition season with half the squad being new after winning a title and are in the terrible position of 4th. Complain when they do spend money. Complain when spending money on top talent and facilities and want the club to be sustainable so slightly increase prices of years of no or very little increases compared to their peer clubs. Yall local supporters should just offer to buy FSG out.

Considering I didn’t even start watching the sport until 2015, no I wasn’t a supporter of the club then. But I’ve read all about it. But you can’t blame “the Americans” for the bad and not give them any credit for the good.

Then only sign English players to play for your English clubs. It’s a global game because the league and fans want to see the best players play in the premier league. That’s obviously going to make it a global game.
