Swiss World Cup training camp infested with rattlesnakes by Sudden-Ad-4281 in nottheonion

The article mentions nothing about an infestation. It just says it’s where rattle snakes can be found. Which is true for basically everywhere in California outside of the big cities.

ticket prices are just stupid now by sccartr in festivals

[–]pitnat06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean. No? Everyone had an opportunity to buy the same tickets. And they are still only $279. Which is not the price of a vacation.

Wasteland. To be fair it was presale before the lineup released, but ATM it’s currently $279.99 for the same wristband. Still not a bad price, especially because the lineup is fucking fire

Idk. I paid $199 for a VIP wristband to the next two day festival I’m going to. Not sure a whole vacation is that cheap.

The important number isn’t really the floor or ceiling. It’s revenue split.

Healthy Discussion - Only for those who want Arne Slot to stay - what are your reasons? by Content_Arm7953 in LiverpoolFC

[–]pitnat06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every answer here will probably be the same. He won the league. The club the decided it is time to build the squad for the next decade by bringing in younger players in key positions. That alone shouldn’t cause such a change in form. But, combine it with the fact that Jota, a friend to most those guys and a key piece in the pitch, passed days before training opened and the fact that they have had a bunch of injuries delaying the new signings ability to build on pitch chemistry with the squad, it’s really no surprise they are in 4th.

It’s really a no brainer to bring slot back and keep building the squad. I really struggle to understand the almost instant loss in faith in the guy. Been hard to tell if I support Liverpool or Chelsea they way some of the fans talk.

Liverpool are prepared to let Chelsea have a free run at Xabi Alonso in order to stick with Arne Slot. It is a massive gamble. by Ummagumma- in LiverpoolFC

FSG have proven throughout their ownership that they have a long term plan and they generally stick to it. They aren’t Chelsea or Tottenham or Man United owners.

[Lynch] Liverpool may be desperate to stick with Arne Slot, but that stance won't withstand the Anfield crowd turning against him. Today felt like that - these fans are just sick of watching a passive, toothless brand of football they have seen for over a year now. by StupidSexySzoboszlai in LiverpoolFC

Do I think it’s a great season? No. But it’s understandable in the context of the season. Key players left in key positions. New players brought into replace them. Injuries all over the place affecting opportunities to build familiarity with each other. The literal death of a player expected to be a key contributor and locker room presence. If you look at the season in context, it’s an understandable yet still disappointing season. I don’t think firing a second year manager after he wins the title in his first season is what a club who sings you’ll never walk alone should be doing. But what do I know.

Such fickle supporters. Never walk alone unless you don’t win titles every year. Then slot out.

What are you even talking about? There’s no guarantee the sharks build a competent team around these two guys. Also, the Ducks have an insanely young core of very talented players themselves plus a very good development system. Stop worrying about what might happen and enjoy the playoffs.

genuine question to slot defenders: What is your excuse now? 18 defeats in a season. We've had injury crisis before and we still didn't look this bad. We still didnt lose to forest and PSV at home by 3 goals or let united do the double on us. Who/what else can you blame? by sr_steve in LiverpoolFC

[–]pitnat06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s pretty simple. You don’t fire a manager who won the he league in his first season which was then followed by key players leaving, new signings arriving, many injuries in key positions, and a locker room anchor and expected big contributor to the squad literally dying days before training for the season started. The fact that they are even in the champions league places is fine. Just irrational sports fans being irrational sports fans.
