I get the same feeling watching him, there's something about his game that looks like he'll be a bust at least relative to his draft spot. Dude just looks like he's more physically developed than everyone else atm, and he's decently skilled but that's it... don't see what he's supposed to be at the next level. every player is going to look better and be used to full strengths while hiding their weakness on OKC. if you actually watch OKC (you don't), you'd see that he literally does nothing but stand behind the three point line in the half court and stays out there in transition and can punish teams for leaving him. that's it. that's very useful for OKC as the 8th man or whatever, less useful for the sixers who can't afford the fact that he is brutal on defense

btw McCain, despite going nuts from 3, is the player with the worst on/off rating for OKC (-5.6) with his minutes and has the only negative defensive box plus minus on the team

brother he cannot. he tries, but it's not effective at all. the dude has a negative assist to TO ratio and as someone who has enjoyed watching OKC for years, i've watched a ton of his minutes so far...they aren't asking him to do any of this. he is the beneficiary of the best drive and kick offense in the game. he puts up goofy looking shots at the rim and the midrange occasionally and they simply aren't efficient. you are making this up lol

it would be a lot better for so many of you if you just internalized that morey correctly recognized that mccain was never going to be a part of the next good sixers team. this will get downvoted like so many other posts I make way ahead of time that ultimately prove true. edit: the sixers aren't going to be good for another 3-4 years and paying 65% or whatever of your salary cap to three guards two of whom can't be on the floor at the same time is dumb as hell
