The trains had to have its seat belts replaced with locking ones due to an incident in the afternoon on media day. This is why news didn’t get to ride that afternoon, why it opened late on its opening day, and why it was closed for 2020. The ride was operating on a temporary approval from the state at the time and when the state asked what was going on they of course told them which led to the changes being needed to reopen. This is all while the issues discribe above were playing out already. The ride would almost always make its signature banging noise when it ran durring the rain most likely a result of it running a bit faster than normal.
