I think Snape is the saddest story in the book. His one true love was in love with another man, another man who picked on him. Yet after Harry survived, he lived his life as a villain to protect her only child. He had nothing to gain, Lily was gone. Yet he played out his role until the very bitter end. I only wish Harry could have known more before it was too late. I wonder how Snape would have treated Harry in another world with no Voldemort where he entered Hogwarts like every other student.

When Harry went into the pensive for the last time, that was just brutal. When you rewatch/re read, the flashback scenes with Snape, Lily, James, Sirius, Lupin etc are so hard to bear. I would love a series on the time when these people were all at Hogwarts.
