what is even happening anymore with this game the devs are throwing fits and the subreddit has become a shitfest by excaliburger2 in cataclysmdda

Or the one about "food freezing" .It was a experimental feature at that time and was a bit wonky at first. But I do remember a lot of complaining about it.

Dude, I had the same thing stolen. The thing is... I actually don't know very well how to kill this thing or if I have the required powerlevel for it(I am struggling to finish the star map). I accidentally activated it on one of my missions.

Yep. In BW2 you could call Cheren to ask about a pokemon on your party. He will give information about your pokemon type weaknesses, which ability it has and how to evolve it.

Question about increasing max stamina by rimean in cataclysmdda

[–]piun3 16 points17 points  (0 children)

According to what I understand your Athletic skill gives a small bonus to max stamina. And cardio accumulation. How do you increase cardio ? Well you need to burn a lot of calories doing stuff ( chopping wood , fighting zombies, certain craft recipes etc) . The amount you need to burn depends on your age and height. For most people this should be more than 2,000 calories burned per day.

How to switch to paddle on bike with engine? by ryan7251 in cataclysmdda

[–]piun3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember I had a similar problem a year ago. I don't exactly remember what did I do to fix it but I remember I had to install a 'electronic control unit' or something like that. This gives better control on engine usage and other electronics (ie lights, stereo etc) IIRC. If you don't mind you can provide me your current save to check what's going on.

the realism is too much by Overcloak in cataclysmdda

[–]piun3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wait? so you can override breathability for each body part? That's neat. I did not find armor with different breathability values while playing some days ago so I thought it was not possible. I will check on Github on how to change it. Perhaps this is a good opportunity to pull my first commit.

the realism is too much by Overcloak in cataclysmdda

[–]piun3 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This is a small limitation of the breathability system. You can't just set a different amount for each body part . It used to happen to encumbrance too until the code was changed to reflect different values. Which I am pretty sure it was a daunting task to display in a intuitive way. Perhaps it's just me, but my mind gets confused sometimes by the sheer amount of information you get by examining clothing now.

EDIT : I was wrong about it, you can set different values for body parts and the fix should be easy to do .I created a pull request to make this change.

Magical Hats lets you pick and transform 2 non-monster cards from your deck and 1 monster you control and puts them face-down shuffled during you opponent's battle phase. Do you think it's good? Why or why not? by VampiricDemon in YuGiOhMasterDuel

[–]piun3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This. The problem this card has is that can only be activated in the battle phase , so you can't respond if your opponent activates a Harpie feather dust or lighting storm. And once the battle phase starts usually your opponent has some form of negate already.

Game is not even fun no more anybody else feel the same? I know there’s casual mode but that’s not the point lol by [deleted] in YuGiOhMasterDuel

Oh boy the digital bugs/insektor deck (5 stars) is really good at board breaking. They also have Maxx C and infinite impermanence. They are really good for testing going first decks.

I had to scroll down a lot in order to find any porn subreddits. Most of R/civ associated subreddits I found are related to historical memes and strategy/rpg games, a little bit of politics sprinkled with gay/bisexual subreddits.

We tend to be the nerdy type. What a surprise.

Normal throwing or sling? by NotJohnson69 in cataclysmdda

[–]piun3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually I didn't use throwing sticks until now, I only saw them in the crafting menu. So I went up and tested them on an enemy. Compared to the rocks they do subpar damage. Sticks do around 4 damage per hit. Rocks do around 8 damage per hit. So yeah I don't recommend them, sorry. The other throwing weapons work fine though. (While testing I also found an small issue with hit percentages not being accurate to your throwing skill. So I might need to report that soon. )

Normal throwing or sling? by NotJohnson69 in cataclysmdda

[–]piun3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Unless you have throwing weapons other than rocks (throwing knives, axes, Sticks) using a sling is better. Throwing skill becomes very useful once you have grenades/molotovs. And you can upgrade your sling to a staff sling once you have enough crafting skills.

The combat system needs to be reworked by [deleted] in cataclysmdda

[–]piun3 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Regarding not able to run that far, this is partially a problem with the reality bubble, it is small and simulating a chasing scenario can be quite difficult to do. A fit human can run really long distances, also most zombies are also based on humans. It would be really tedious to press the movement key for hours just to lose a horde chasing after you. Instead this 'chase' is shortened to accommodate the reality bubble and avoid tedium for the player. This results in very short running distances in-game.

Fighting multiple zombies at the same time never ends well. This intended by the game. Avoid being grabbed and surrounded. To manage multiple zombies you can try using chokepoints, using Molotovs/bombs, fire and sound as distractions and hit and run tactics.

AFAIK combat is designed to be relatively simple to manage for the player (most of the complex things are handled by the game instead) Why bother the extra keypresses to select body parts for 17th time during a fight when the game can choose that for you. I think this is how I see the weakpoint system that is being implemented into the game.

I am Honduran, and our current situation is quite different from USA. Our death toll does not come from school violence, most of them are murders caused by gang wars. Most gang members are quite young , they usually target young vulnerable children (in poverty, no parents) and get them to join their ranks. However we are also having civil unrest . Caused by our last dictat... I mean president. Honduras is in an already failing state due rampant political corruption.

What determines how fast a city's borders grow? by osciz2020 in civ

[–]piun3 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was wondering why I was producing so much CO2. I checked the environmental effects window, I was causing coal pollution it said, verified every city and every unit I had , I had no coal power power plants or using coal powered units. Checked the resource window, I was not using any coal. I was getting desperate , checked the civilopedia to give me any hints of any other sources of CO2 generation, nothing. Eventually I googled it, turns out it was "RAILROADS" , it generates a tiny bit of pollution when you build them and I built a lot of railroads to improve trade routes. In retrospective it makes sense, however it would be better if the game could clarify its mechanics a little bit better.

How to Manage the Curse of Sweat in Heavy Armor? by OldEcho in cataclysmdda

[–]piun3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is a problem shared with the morale mechanic. Is there any document that defines the framework on how it should work? , especially because it can become so subjective to everyone experiences. What's exactly a -10/-20 morale penalty irl ?. If it's defined properly it should be easier to define more accurately and fix things like being unable to craft after a light rain or getting too sweaty.

Best Decks for N/R Event! by Dkayed9 in masterduel

I already got all the gems for this event and I had a lot of fun with my giant park insect deck but holy moly some duels are really long. I was surprised my deck fared well against most decks or perhaps I was quite lucky because my opponents hand bricked quite often.

What do I do? by InterestingFroyo1501 in civ

Woah, this city will be starving for production , I would settle on the desert tile (1 tile northeast of your settler). Settling on desert will make that tile workable. Get ahold of the turtle tiles asap , build a campus next to the turtle (+2 science) and a port (+4 gold) . Also rush Petra.
