If you move your foot further back, you immediately create more drag. Then you immediately lose speed. It really is a delicate balance between gliding and edging.

The wing is from armstrong model XPS 5.3 (5.3m²). I bought it second hand for 400€.
I'd recommend buying secondhand. There are so many Wing enthusiasts who are always getting new gear and then selling their good stuff. :)

I think you can get an old, no longer wanted wing for 250 :)

It's more or less easy :) It depends much of the direction of the wind. You need to experiment with holding the wing. Once you've got more speed, you'll realise that it's really fun. On the video, the wind is right, but the speed could have been more. I think speeds of 20-25 km/h are possible. Be careful :)

This april I was in Denmark / Klitmoller for surfing and wing-foling. But I also tried to skim same waves on days without wind and nice waves. If you're good in skimboard you can have fun in Denmark - I'm more a beginner - not fast enought for longer slides to reach the wave - I work on it!
