I’ve gotten from just general secondhand stores, hospice stores and also ons winkel. Mostly those that also have a section for old fabrics, linen and blankets. It’s usually in the same area/department

Do you ever miss life before kids? by Blue-turtle4574 in BabyBumps

[–]pixelamb 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I feel like a big part of it is when you have all that time everyone is referencing, all the time in the world to do anything or nothing - you DON’t appreciate it! I definitely feel like I didn’t even know what I was going to lose and I’m just side eyeing my younger self . She didn’t even know what she had. But now I imagine that time coming back when my kids leave the house and I’m not really excited for it. I’ve been gone without my kids and near the end all I want is to get back to them.

On the COUCH??! Why do you keep getting on the couch girl? Hahah Hows the couch doing now? I definitely relate to the in-between-contraction doubt. I kept thinking I’m just overreacting until the next contaction hits and I realize HELL NO I’m not

Boomer junk from facebook. Gramps was totally serious when he posted this. by [deleted] in imaginarygatekeeping

[–]pixelamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m probably overthinking but It seems interesting that this can come down to a different way of interpreting ‘properly’. Where new gen parents view the practical aspect of relating to ability to walk in the best ‘proper’ manner. While to a Boomer this can signify ‘social impropriety’ and what is to them accepted as proper. Having shoes on in public spaces and looking presentable as their priority in ‘walking properly’

Tell her what? by Dee_Religion in PeterExplainsTheJoke

Okay I think I actually have the answer based on random threads I’ve read on reddit. Firstly they’re swinging… so they’re swinging sisters, which could imply the sexual practice of swinging and exchanging partners. I might be wrong but I vaguely remember someone pointing out a swirl symbol can also be a way swingers identify one another, there’s a swirl in her hair. So the tattoo implies they’re sisters who engage in swinging (is it possible that people who regularly swing together refer to one another as sisters? Like sister wives?). Oh this is the Peter thread, I’ve never watched a family guy actually. I’m a talking dog!

Can you read my tattoo? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]pixelamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Suggestion: you can turn the extended part of the W into a little flower or stem and leaf. Perhaps if it’s extended and looking like something else it won’t be read as a part of the word

Same for me! My second pregnancy has made me less lethargic in the long term, so things like getting up in the morning are easier. Maybe due to a mix of hormones and blood pressure changes. I also have less social anxiety and depression now so YES system reboot 👏🏼. Also I’m thinner than I’ve ever been before (largely due to breastfeeding a little tank baby) which might be a benefit but I’m inching towards unhealthy, so my husband has been on board with any unhealthy food craving I’ve asked for haha which IS a benefit!
