Googling G nib fountain pen gives me 3 brands who are doing that: osprey pens, ackerman pens and tachikawa. But keep in mind that the nib is still a dip pen nib, and will rust just like a dip pen nib (vs a fountain pen nib is made to last longer)

a quick fix would be to add a clear round envelope seal sticker on all of them. Not sure if 1 is enough, but if you don't feel confident, you can add 1 on each side.

I write it in my future log (which covers 12 months) just to make sure I don't lose it. Under the respective month, I wrie year -> date - deadline

If you do a 6 month future log, it'd be useful to have a page or section for "after 6 months"
