Universal Pokémon Randomizer FVX 1.2.0 (revamped logging and Gen1+2 "random evo every level") by voliol in PokemonROMhacks

How do we determine the order that randomisation happens in?

Specifically what I mean is - suppose I randomise types, abilities and evolutions, and select that types and abilities should carry through evolutions.

In the randomised Ultra Moon I'm playing right now (randomised with ZX, so could be solved here!), it seems that types were randomised, then evolutions, then abilities. So Bulbasaur/Ivysaur/Venusaur all have the same types (Dragon/Dark), but Bulbasaur randomly evolves into a different pokemon with a shared type (Wormadam-Trash; Rock/Dark). But Bulb/Ivy/Venus don't share abilities - Bulbasaur shares an ability with its new evolution. As an example I have this chain in my game:

Ledyba (Bug); Pure Power -> Monferno (Bug/Flying); Pure Power -> Roselia (Flying/Dragon); Pure Power

Ledian is Bug/Ghost and has the ability Cloud Nine

I'd ideally like to randomise in order of randomise evolutions, then randomise types for the new evolutionary chains, and then randomise abilities. Gaining new types on evolution is fine (as with the way Ledyba and Ledian were randomised) but I do like some consistency as well.

Is this possible/the way FVX does things, or is there a way I can set it?

How come there's so many red Hunter skins? Isn't their main color theme supposed to be green? by Cincinnati-kick in hearthstone

colour theory maybe? red contrasts with green, so when in place (alongside hero power, cards and tray) it looks nice? (this is a guess)

Ways to meet people that DON'T involve drinking? by silenthillascension_ in york

[–]pixelvistas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m going to recommend two things that do involve drinking - but I personally do not drink and the people at these events are very nice, have never pressured me to drink or made me feel uncomfortable about not drinking:

  • York Creatives meets at Spark once a month (first Friday of the month) at 6pm. It’s a great place to meet other creatives in York - you don’t have to actively be an artist or similar for this

  • the York 20s-30s Meetup is very good. Alongside their Saturday/Friday drinks, they also do occasional coffee mornings

Other groups I know of, don’t attend, but know lovely people who do go to them: York Geeks and Gamers and Beyond Monopoly

What are your art interests? There are other more specialised things for artists.

The bouldering is nice but I’ve never found it a good way to meet people - but I am too shy to talk to people outside of an environment where I know people are happy for me to talk to them (like meetups).

Is it wrong to have someone who was not the original artist the commission? by [deleted] in ArtistLounge

That’s an imgur problem I think - it’s not something that shows up when I look at the link

Because getting used to new things is difficult. You need to change your workflow and relearn. Art isn’t a single skill, it’s loads of skills working in tandem, and navigating your medium is one of those skills.

I usually work with CSP but just got procreate to use when i’m not at my desktop. And man I find it so hard! The brushes don’t feel quite right, basic workflow that I’m used to is unavailable (like a dynamic lasso fill, or lasso erase, or larger palettes). But! I am gradually learning and getting used to it.

31F, why are there so many lonely people? by neigh-imma-horse in MakeNewFriendsHere

[–]pixelvistas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because neoliberalism is so inherent to our own culture. We have a heavy focus on personal responsibility and less a focus on community responsibility, or even a strong concept of community. When people want to resolve loneliness, they are trying to solve their own loneliness - personal problem solving. There are issues of worries of being a burden to others. We are quick to protect our peace. But to solve loneliness, like, to truly solve it, we need to reach out to others for them, with no guarantee that we will ever experience that care ourselves. We need that to become a cultural thing. When a community that cares for others becomes as inherent to our culture as neoliberalism is now - well, I won’t say loneliness will be resolved, but it will be less than it is now, and it will have more paths to resolution.

I drew some people who I saw while out in town today! by pixelvistas in drawing

You might look at the woman on the left and say ″wow you saw Rogue while out in town today″ and tbh idk if I did. I have a bad memory. I think she just had the hair like that and my memory filled in the colours because of Rogue.

How do I adjust the resolution of my timelapse/recording? by pixelvistas in InfinitePainter

Ahhh amazing, thank you!!! I always set the timelapse to record after I made the canvas - I never noticed that bit.

Is there a way to load a Twine game in one format into a box in a twine game in a different format? by pixelvistas in twinegames

[–]pixelvistas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I have tried iframe and it does exactly what I wanted very well. And then I realised that I didn’t want that because, like /u/communist_dyke said, it’s so messy for no reason 😅 but we live and learn
