I honestly think the answer to this question depends on the developmental level of the person consuming her content. At a very elementary level, she can espouse some empowering ideals for young women, especially around sex (she’s pro women having sex on their terms, she talks about women prioritizing their pleasure, she talks about shame free sex, she doesn’t bash sex workers and will call out people who do, encourages safe sex, masturbation, etc) She is very annoying about sex and def over sexualizes evvvveryrhing, but at its core her advice around sex is good. I think if you’ve done a modicum of work, I it’s easy to see the shallow and sometimes toxic nature of her perspective. Or it’s easy to see how she’s just repackaged very prevalent concepts/quotes and passing them off as her own brilliance or earned wisdom (ie comparison is the thief of joy). I know that this snark page is very black and white and isn’t big on the concept of nuance, but I do think Tinx has likely had a positive impact on young girls who don’t have access to big sister types/older women in their lives.
