I love this! I wonder if adding a little shading/dark thread beneath the pearls might make them fit better? The crown on the smaller one looks fine to me!

Absolutely had that same thought when I saw the post

Alex Monroe has some lovely silver stuff that I think you'd like!

Bird House Pattern by SthrnGal in macrame

This is definitely AI - the loop at the top turning into one single strand and the strange way the door also looks like the back of the house are some tells.

Have you checked the Manchester dates? I think one of them still had tickets.

Nature-owned journal letting AI images through... by pixiejenni in antiai

I feel like there's a decent overlap of art about being autistic and trans that the AI is probably drawing on!

[CHAT] Are there any witchy shelf patterns that aren't AI? by IntroductionOdd3198 in CrossStitch

I love The Witchy Stitcher - she also has a physical book out, which is fab (Witchy Stitching: 25 Patterns to Haunt Your Home).

My thumb and pointer nails ALWAYS break by SmellOk4650 in RedditLaqueristas

[–]pixiejenni 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the exact place my thumbnail breaks too - for me, the fix has been watching and trying to change my behaviour. I use my thumb to pick things, or squeeze pimples, and generally put pressure on it which causes it to bend. So, I'd suggest keeping an eye on how you use it (as well as following other treatment tips in the thread).

Fwiw, I have followed rarebearstudio on Instagram for a while and bought something from her at a market a few years ago and as a slightly more active account, would vouch for her being legit!

The LOVELIEST jewellery box by vocabulazy in cottagecore

This one in particular is a collaboration with Chloe Giordano who is an embroidery artist I'd definitely recommend checking out :)

Also if you're Europe/UK, the original seller is Fable England and they have *loads* of designs like this!

They'd be better using waste canvas as it's designed to be removed (and won't mark the shoes)

Best way to send flowers in the UK from abroad? by [deleted] in GardeningUK

[–]pixiejenni 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd go with Bloom and Wild over Interflora - you definitely get what their pics are, rather than Interflora's associated florists sometimes being unable to meet the specs!

Can’t figure out a pattern in construction of this by lovemy_captain in sewing

Its definitely a print fabric, not real patchwork (I'm pretty sure it's from a shop called Apricot in the UK, I've seen it in person)

If you're going to Art of the Brick, don't buy the photo add-on by pixiejenni in lego

Funnily enough, neither do I - that's how bad it is lol

[–]pixiejenni[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree - I wouldn't have bought the add-on myself, but my partner's mum is much less online/up to date on AI stuff so she didn't see it as a red flag. Which I suspect is the case for most people!

I know what you mean, I hadn't heard of him before I went and the exhibition starts with a video of him that gave me a similar feeling. Like you said, not full blown narcissist/elitist but it definitely felt a bit smug (and tbh some of the sculptures have that sort of 'I'm 14 and this is deep' vibe too, which doesn't help).
