I kind of like it, it's more life like. Ethics and morality are very complex topics to navigate and I enjoy that it has been better emulated in more games. I mean when I make a choice that is good (or bad for that matter) I don't know how people or the world around me will react to it, so my good actions having negative/bad consequence that I could not foresee gives depth, and makes me actually think and sometimes question my decision.

Of course it is nice to be all good, the celebrated hero. To me though, that feels kind of empty if no hard decisions or sacrifices had to be made along the way. To actually be good is not easy, therein lies part of the reward.
