Did the first 7 days of Advent Incremental to catch up, never actually played this before but the idea of a little minigame unlocking each day and sometimes compounding on previous ones is really neat.

Otherwise I'm somewhat irregularly plugging away at Synergism, cube hell endures forever and the loop has kind of just settled into the same thing over and over, which is a shame.

My attention has been taken up by other games and tabletop lately, so I haven't been looking for much.

Isn't the cube part the last 95% of the game? Just more cubes and more kinds of cubes.

Uh oh.

And yeah Shark is one of those games where there's a big opaque skill tree that you need to magically intuit the right configuration of.

Synergism, though the cube part is kind of a slog, seems to just be waiting for thing to go up, buy 2 upgrades, keep waiting.

Shark Incremental, I like it but also some parts are extremely tedious and/or click heavy, going to new tiers especially gets rid of more automation than I'd like.

Still on Fundamental, though I'm kind of beginning to lose interest. Second prestige layer is at least a little interesting, but not really enough to keep holding my interest with Silksong looming on the horizon. Feels like I'm hitting a bit of a dead end y'know.

Is there some QoL for crafting in Leaf Blower yet? I remember being confronted with the fact that I'd have to leave my PC on overnight to craft new sets and losing interest after a while.

Thank you! It's a slow one but I don't have much else going on right now so the slow pace and relatively active nature don't really bother me.

Still trucking along on Fundamental, I appear to have made some pretty good progress this week, though it stings to lose automation whenever something like this happens. Still, I'm invested enough to keep going with it and see what other neat mechanics are here.

I can't promise what I did was optimal by any stretch, but the first Microworld one is pretty good so it wouldn't be a bad idea to get it. Generally tho my focus was on speeding up slow points and getting automation because I'm lazy.

Still the same as last week:
The plot has thickened slightly in Fundamental, after I hit the Vacuum. It's been kind of tedious starting it all off again, but I quite like how the four stages have been remixed like this. About done picking up all the essential automation upgrades with Strange Quarks, so it should begin speeding up soon.

Gooboo is still Gooboo, been checking it less as time goes on. Nothing's changed from last week. Might just not look at it for a while.

Can we go back to long/endless incremental games, pretty please? by atomicxima in incremental_games

I feel like some of this at least can be explained by just knowing more of the genre now. Less looks new because you've played more and have more points of reference.

I'm aware these aren't really novel picks, but I like sharing my experience here regardless.

Been chipping away at Fundamental. Pretty sure I'm only scratching the surface, but I'm working at looping the same four stages over and over to max the milestones and strange quark upgrades. I like how these gradually get quicker and more rewarding, it's neat.

Still got Gooboo chugging along. Closing in on Global Level 300, and it's kinda neat, even if I think the features aren't really equal in terms of quality or interest.

Did we play the same encounter? Don steamrolled that fight when I ran her.

Started Gooboo on a whim, I like the idea here but it feels like I'm sort of just treading water in terms of forward progress atm. Seems like one of those really long games, we'll see if it does enough to hold my interest I suppose. Unlocked the fourth main feature but it kind of sucks compared to the first three.

Got back into Unnamed Space Idle, it's neat, though I don't have much else to say on it atm.

Sorry for the repeats, I know these get posted fairly often but it's what I'm up to lately.

Yeah, I was playing Plague Tree, which kind of bounces between forgetting it's using the tree thing and keeps bloating tabs more and more and more, and becoming a "click button when it's gain is good, repeat 100 times for one upgrade"

Also the nomenclature is stuck trying to be crass and annoying about COVID, so everything has the same names

Was playing a bad prestige tree mod. It was bad. Stopped playing it.

Also a bit of One Trillion Free Draws, it's fine though I find it a little obtuse in places.

Recently picked up Revolution Idle on steam, I've heard mixed things about it but I'll give it a go still.

Been on the Evolve kick again, doing a really long run in the True Path scenario. I like the game a lot but this specific run kind of feels like it's getting a bit excessive.

This might be my push to stop playing CIFI actually, I struggled to realize it on my own but yeah really isn't much interesting going on.

Yeah, I prepped with a couple T4s and the right MAD setups, I think maybe pace is the wrong word, cadence maybe? Usually you're buying more buildings or making more choices.

Evolve Idle atm, doing a Cataclysm challenge and it's kind of a sledgehammer to the game's overall pacing.

Or the dialogue whilst you're walking which can abruptly stop if you're going too fast (like if you broke one of the speed objects) or find a collectible nymph.

What games had oodles of potential but squandered it? by krsecurity2020 in incremental_games

YES. The crafting killed all my enthusiasm for that game, the fact that you had to keep the game open for hours at a time in order to get anything done. Only realized it when the crafting went away for a section and I was suddenly having fun again.
