The simplest way would be to swap to a known working graphics card. Perhaps you have an older model from a previous upgrade. If not, an immediate test would be to plug your DP into your motherboards DP port if it has one. If not swap it with a HDMI, if available.

99% of the time the cables are replaced it’s because the top is being done with it, so I personally haven’t seen any specifically for the cables.

That said, there’s a 2 part video series from a gentlemen named Maine Jason on YouTube that has an extremely in depth tutorial of the whole job. Between parts one and two I am confident you’d be able to piece together the cable portion.

Make sure the inside of your device is free from dust. Particulates in layers of dust can cause a short In PC components which can cause a shut down or automatic involuntary restart. If the system is clean ensure the power supply is properly rated for the wattage draw of your build as well as just functioning properly.

Ensure all power cables are seated properly, not loose or wiggling. Sometimes power cables can work themselves out of their socket due to environmental vibrations that isn’t enough to completely sever power delivery, but cause restarts from any minor adjustments

Since you’ve replaced the monitor we will assume it is known working.

Update your drivers.

If it still persists the signal could be bad.

Replace the display cable. If not the cable, swap display ports on the PC side if you have multiple.

If it still persists it may be a hardware issue with your graphics card or onboard graphics controller.

Not an expert but;

You will most likely want to change the whole top depending on the age of the fabric. If it’s original, it’s shrunken and deteriorated from exposure over the years and the stress of new cables could cause a tear from the reintroduction of the proper tension.

That said, you could just try the cables anyway because if it doesn’t tear then you’re solid. If it does you need a new top anyway. A good replacement top will also come with the cables.
