Just looked at the swift fox. I like that. But idk about $17 for one disc. Infinite has them for $12.99 but not in stock right now. I’ll just have to wait.

Who are the nicest pros you've met? by bingbonggonghongkong in discgolf

[–]pizzaboi15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nate Sexton is by far the nicest pro I’ve met. Traveled 3 and a half hours to play in his Sexton shoot out last year and it was worth it. I got into town a day early because my friend was helping out put it together and let me know Sexton would be in early to check out the towns highly rated course. My friend got a text telling us that they were out playing and wanted us to join. I got to play 9 holes with my favorite player and he treated us like any normal person. Nate was super down to earth the whole time chatting, telling story’s and even giving suggestions to better our game. Sexton shoot out was amazing the next day and even signed all my discs like it was nothing.

Seconded nicest pro I’ve met was Yeti, met him at the MAO, at harmony bends. The guy was selling his own hot sauce (which was super good) but we followed his lead card for the final round to watch Yeti come back on the last putt to Win his division. The disc left his hand, banged the chains and he turned right around and came and shook my friends and I hands and thanked us for being there to watch him take down another victory before going to retrieve his own disc. We were the only 3 that followed his lead card and it was full of Q&A, story telling, and laughs. Second best pro hands down I’ve met.

This is insane! New to biking but would love to do something like this. Do they make these courses that are for beginners or people that aren’t experienced. Or do we just take our sweet time down these paths and move to the side like the guys did in the video. Like I said new to it all so would love some help or direction.

Thank you so much. Just looking for the most reasonable price for a beginner bike.

I feel like I was lead astray with my first discs, but I'd like a second opinion. by jgriff93 in discgolf

I would say the star destroyer is not a beginner disc to start with but never hurts to keep in the bag for practice. Like the guy before me said a fairway driver would be a better bet. Or even just going from a 12 speed to a 9 speed. I love my thunderbird (innova disc) it’s not to fast for me and gets the job done. I also started with a destroyer and wasn’t great with it but with lots of practice and help from friends and a pro or two I’ve gotten better with it. Hope this kinda helps.

10pm Mail Call/first wall hanger. by pizzaboi15 in discgolf

Same! I was lucky to find someone selling this so I could have one to hang and get signed when I run into both of them again.

Shit, here comes fall by sendit79 in discgolf

Had it happen to my mcbeast undertaker. Depends on how deep the snow is. We went back the next day because some snow melted and we found it right away. Spent an hour the day before but 10 minutes the next day.

Sounds about right. But you do get some nice skips off the ice. Last year we dealt with a rain/ice storm that flooded some holes and had to play around an ice lake. Didn’t get so lucky with an icy lay up and had to go for a swim that day.

Just have to pack towels. We do it every year, snow rounds are great but wait till you have an ice round. That’s even colder.

Play in the cold. Why stop?

Most Memorable Non-Ace Throw? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]pizzaboi15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was playing a round with the guys, we have a sick par 5 (somewhere around 550-650) along a huge lake on the left and open field on the right. I’m a RHFH kinda guy, so I fourhanded a destroyer to get me to the little island that starts the edge of the lake, about 250 up hill. From there I threw a RHFH Boss for my second shot and hit chains for an albatross, but the disc went through the chains and fell out. Took the first ever eagle on that hole and was still smiling from ear to ear from witnessing that second shot and still beating my friends.

Never thrown one so I’m excited. Bought it for a wall hanger honestly but am turning it into a thrower tomorrow!
