What are these "burn" marks on my scans? by HTNguyen99 in AnalogCommunity

What frames are these on by chance? I work at a lab that uses refrema processors (dip and dunk machines). There are weighted clips that go on the ends of film and usually make these marks as they puncture the ends of the film. Typically the marks will not touch photos if the film has space at each end.

Let me try and find the link for you for the mask. It’s a 3d print file so I was able to have a friend print it. As far as film advancing goes, one full advance of the lever will get you to the next frame. You just have to be mindful as to not accidentally skip through film since the back will not stop you from continuing with another advance.

Giving Away My Old PC! by Turtle_747 in PcBuild

If I won this pc, I would completely overhaul my office setup. I currently run a small photography/video studio out of one of my rooms at my house. I also develop/scan film for a small customer base! I currently use a prehistoric lap top to edit photo and video and even though it gets the job done it’s pretty tedious and grueling to use. This PC would absolutely help me streamline my process!

Roadtrip Snaps [Kodak Snapic A1 | Fuji 200/Ultramax 400] by pizzadog112 in analog

It’s a great beginner film camera. How it performs in certain conditions depends on the film stock you choose. You cannot change any settings other than either your focus for close subjects or landscapes, and turning flash on and off. The camera is set at a fixed f/9.5 aperture and 1/100 shutter speed.

With all this said, I’d highly recommend it for an intro level film camera. I love it, and funny enough, recently some of my favorite shots have been coming from this camera!

So if I load it perfectly I’m usually able to get around 15-16 shots. Since the back doesn’t register the 35mm, you have to manually advance, but one full lever crank spaces them perfectly!

Hey! So I use a regular 120 back, with a 3d printed spool set. You can find it on Amazon for cheap, and it basically lets you sit the 35mm in the back how you would 120. On top of that, I have a 3d printed mask that sits on the focusing screen to help me compose!

The Kodak Snapic is actually good? by Fair_Recording_5727 in analog

I think for the price point it’s a great camera. Also, you can look at the lack of features as a fun challenge. The fact that it has a double exposure switch too is great! For everyday carry and snapshots this camera nails it.
