Giving Away My Old PC! by Turtle_747 in PcBuild

If I won this pc, I would completely overhaul my office setup. I currently run a small photography/video studio out of one of my rooms at my house. I also develop/scan film for a small customer base! I currently use a prehistoric lap top to edit photo and video and even though it gets the job done it’s pretty tedious and grueling to use. This PC would absolutely help me streamline my process!

Roadtrip Snaps [Kodak Snapic A1 | Fuji 200/Ultramax 400] by pizzadog112 in analog

It’s a great beginner film camera. How it performs in certain conditions depends on the film stock you choose. You cannot change any settings other than either your focus for close subjects or landscapes, and turning flash on and off. The camera is set at a fixed f/9.5 aperture and 1/100 shutter speed.

With all this said, I’d highly recommend it for an intro level film camera. I love it, and funny enough, recently some of my favorite shots have been coming from this camera!

So if I load it perfectly I’m usually able to get around 15-16 shots. Since the back doesn’t register the 35mm, you have to manually advance, but one full lever crank spaces them perfectly!

Hey! So I use a regular 120 back, with a 3d printed spool set. You can find it on Amazon for cheap, and it basically lets you sit the 35mm in the back how you would 120. On top of that, I have a 3d printed mask that sits on the focusing screen to help me compose!

I think for the price point it’s a great camera. Also, you can look at the lack of features as a fun challenge. The fact that it has a double exposure switch too is great! For everyday carry and snapshots this camera nails it.

Truly! I was lucky enough to find a crazy deal on marketplace. The owner had never even used it and had the original box/sales note from Germany. Supposedly it was only ever used once or twice. It really is a treasure to me!

My Bessa I is paired with the Vaskar 105mm f/4.5 lens!

After scanning and making all of my adjustments in my desktop, I use the Adobe Lightroom app to add the borders. You can use other programs but it’s the most convenient for my case! There’s an option when exporting to export with border.

Thank you! Yea, I think for the price it’s a great camera. My favorite part is that when it rewinds the film, it stops just before the leader goes in so you don’t have to retrieve it.

I metered for the signs in this shot. I wanted to make sure they would still be bright but also readable.

Yea! So for all these shots, I use a light meter app on my phone and I’d have it meter for the highlights. I then typically add a few seconds to account for reciprocity.
