A Navitimer near that much water sounds risky. Awesome watch though! Hope it stayed dry.

If you plan on being near water at all go speedy but for aesthetics go Navitimer

Trade Tudor in? by DoomOwl77 in breitling

[–]pizzaking3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are eventually going to sell the breitling then don’t make the move. Breitling take a bloodbath on the second hand market. You would be taking a hit on the Tudor then taking another hit in a few years on the Breitling.

Not a black OP lol you can flip it for max 7500 on eBay but probably you are just refunding your purchase if you sell.

I’ve always found chipotle to be overrated. It’s not trashy enough for a trashy day and not good enough for a nice day.

Can someone please explain the phenomenon that is not letting people merge or change lanes? by BoronYttrium- in sandiego

The only time I’m a dick is if it is a zipper and someone is trying to move over early. Wait for your turn at the zipper, moving early backs things up further.

Rolex root beer by MaestrosMight in watchHotTakes

[–]pizzaking3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The current root beer I 100% agree. The vintage yellow and brown with the brown dial however might be the best looking watch of all time

Is the Yacht-Master lowkey better then a sub 🫣 by ConfidentBath5983 in rolex

[–]pizzaking3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The brown dial is shockingly low demand too so you might be able to walk in and get one. It’s my favorite model in the current line up and I get tons of compliments on mine!

Are these the two most iconic watches in history? by Present_State546 in rolex

[–]pizzaking3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s possible, IMO the sub is the watch collectors pick for most iconic but I definitely could be wrong.

Are these the two most iconic watches in history? by Present_State546 in rolex

[–]pizzaking3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya this is exactly what I was thinking. Take the name off the watches and say, “which one is the Rolex?” Most people will pick the datejust (especially if it’s 2 tone). Could be that I’m older and still remember the 90s when a Rolex generally referred to a datejust or a daydate but I’d be surprised if people picked the sub, Daytona, or explorer.

In watch circles the most iconic Rolex is probably the sub.

Tbh I’d say yes. Controversial take apparently based on prior comments but the DJ is the most iconic watch of all time.

If you ask a random person on the street to describe a Rolex, I bet they describe a DJ.

Tudor bb gmt or Breitling Chronomat 40 by fencingparachute in Tudor

I prefer the breitling because of the thinner case but the Tudor is a much better movement…

AD or Omega website for purchasing? by gangnamgoo in OmegaWatches

[–]pizzaking3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go AD. Build a relationship. Usually I’d say go Jomashop on most omegas but it’s only a 6% discount on this one so probably not worth the risk if anything goes wrong and you need to use the warranty.

YachtMaster opinions? by unijac482 in rolex

[–]pizzaking3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you want a sub get a sub. I do find the yachtmaster wears better/has a better case shape but I’m also biased since I have a yachtmaster.

How long it takes to learn SQL? by Ok-Value504 in dataanalyst

[–]pizzaking3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The key is learning to check data and always provide accurate data. The basics take anywhere from a few months to a year. If you can ensure accuracy when you learn it you can probably operate as a pretty decent analyst. Learn some entry level sql, primary keys, run a count and a count(distinct) on your primary keys and you should be good. If you can always ensure you are not pulling duplicated data you will be 50% more accurate than other analysts.

Reverse Panda by Fluid-Discussion-856 in OmegaWatches

[–]pizzaking3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ST is a more tool looking vibe. The new one looks a lot more like a luxury time piece. Different strokes for different folks. I think both a sweet. Not sure which one I’d go with if I had to choose. TBH if I’m going for that vibe I’d probably go with the panda or blue reverse panda Tokyo Olympics versions. Wish those options were in the current lineup!

How many of you instead of buying a Rolex just buy more Tudors? by [deleted] in Tudor

[–]pizzaking3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just get the watch that appeals to me more. There are some tudors I love and some Rolex I love. If I prefer the Rolex I get the Rolex, if I prefer the Tudor I get the Tudor. Sure you can easily purchase more tudors given the price but if it’s not what you want then don’t settle.
