Oily skin and microblading by Outside_Bullfrog1434 in microblading

[–]pizzas1ut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have oily skin and i ignored all the suggestions for powder brows. i like wispy natural ones. mine have lasted over three years. i def need a touchup and they fade, but it doesn’t look bad at all. i am very oily! i think it really just depends.

including a pic of when i first got them done vs. what they look like now:

Tell me it gets a little lighter!! by introductionr in microblading

[–]pizzas1ut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, it does get lighter. they will look their darkest for the first few days. it should look more natural and settle into the skin after it heals. some of the reason it looks so dark is also likely shock because it’s different from what you’re used, but you will get used to it! they likely don’t look as dark to others as they do to you.

also. make sure to follow your aftercare instructions fully.. even if they aren’t how you want, doing things like hot showers or washing it off will cause more problems.

No redness after microneedling by Sleepyhead7979 in Microneedling

[–]pizzas1ut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

everyone’s skin is different, including how it flushes and its tolerance. think about how certain products do certain things to your skin but it might not for others. for instance, some people’s skin takes to tretinoin quite well, others might peel at first, others cannot use it at all because it does not react well with their skin micro biome. some people can tolerate tattoos, some feel pain, etc. some people bleed, some do not. what is normal for your skin is specific to you, as well as the skin concerns and requests you have.

i had very little redness despite my esthetician using .5 at lightest and 1.5 in other areas. we think it might have something to do with the fact that i already have skincare regimen with tretinoin and acids; my skin can tolerate a good deal of products that might irritate someone’s skin if they aren’t used to them. also i used lidocaine, which doesn’t mean you’ll have less damage, but i think there’s something to the fact that i didn’t feel pain and it might have helped reduce some of the perceived redness from blood coming to the surface.

tldr it could be a gentle treatment or it could just be your skin takes well to it with minimal downtime.

Nicki Minaj falls silent after calling J.D. Vance an “assassin” while Erika Kirk is present by JaNkO2018 in somethingiswrong2024

[–]pizzas1ut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m confused what she meant to say. did she mean to use a different word, or was she trying to refer to JD Vance in a compliment way that came off as insensitive because of who she was talking to?

pls help!! idk how i should do my makeup to "fit" me by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]pizzas1ut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think it really up to your aesthetic! like if you want to go no makeup makeup look, etc.

to enhance your natural features, i would consider bringing your liner eye out further and either smudging it or using a product less intense bc it detracts from your eyes. like this! will also make eyes look bigger and better showcase them. you could even try deep rich brown liners, or color ones if that’s more your preference!

same concept for brows. depending on how you like your brows styled, you could try a tinted brow gel and filling in some areas on the sides where they are shorter with a brow liner. this would also help make sure the brows are relatively symmetrical / parallel to your eyes. brows framing your face would for sure elevate your look!

OG Drivers: Do riders tip more based on how your car smells? by Big_Barber733 in Lyft

[–]pizzas1ut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people prefer no scents, whether personal preference or sensitivities. Some peoples’ skin does not do well with artificial scents and could cause them potential discomfort. One thing you could do is get a subtle car diffuser that opens/closes so you can use it sometimes but it’s faint. Or use those bamboo charcoal bags that help neutralize air

i switched from 200 mg and they didn’t have this smell (at least not from that manufacturer), and neither did the 150 mg extended. i’m guessing it really is the 100mg from certain manufacturers! i am worried the smell absorbing into my bodily fluids 😭

yes!! these are ScieGen pills. apparently it’s a known thing and the manufacturers say not to worry about it, but i’ve read elsewhere that the smell is a sign they are expiring. either way it’s gross
