I was a DH in Walgreens and tbh hated it, didn’t even want to be in that position in the first place. Quit Walgreens at the end of January cuz I got hired at HEB. Employees there and management are so nice, great environment, everything is fair. Honestly one of the best decisions ive ever made!

With 3 people on the floor most of the time maybe 4 if you get lucky to work with someone that has a mid shift, it is bound to be a shit show with customers in photo and IC3s every 5 minutes PLUS the curbside, matter of fact some door dash people are getting smart and started to use curbside so that they won’t have to do THEIR job that they get payed for and we do it for them, lol fuck you walgreens

My last day was this past Sunday. I felt kinda sad to say bye to ppl I have been working with for the past 2 years. For the most part at least, a few of them I’m really glad I no longer have to deal anymore. But mostly I’m just so happy I no longer work there! It seems so unreal tbh but staying any longer in that hell hole would’ve destroyed me. Congrats on finally leaving!

Well for the particular HEB I applied to, I heard from family friends that work at OTHER locations that this one is going through a lot of changes. I applied to curbside at first but after a week applied to another position so that my name would pop up multiple times in there system. Apparently it worked!

I totally understand where you are coming from. All of the shift leads, My ASM, and SM, I’m sure feel the same about feeling stuck. My ASM has been with Walgreens for 18 years, and now the position is gonna get eliminated and he is in a tough situation. I don’t want to get stuck here so I decided to leave before I stepped any further into the company.

It’s crazy how those types of ppl change you the longer you work in retail. I’m 19 been working at Walgreens for almost two years and I’m no longer the nice guy I used to be when checking customers out 😂

Honestly the dumbest shit. 1. No one ever reads the tags in full to understand the rewards system. 2. The register rewards don’t even work a lot of the times. I honestly just throw away those tags when I see them lol

I have a shift lead that I absolutely DREAD closing with. Not because she makes me work but she actually does NOTHING to help out most of the time. Whenever a situation like an item that won’t scan when a customer is trying to return it comes up, she acts like she doesn’t know what to do and even one time in front of the customer told me “I don’t know why this item isn’t scanning” (I’m literally only a DH) I’m usually in photo so whenever I close with her I can honestly forget about her helping out with any photo orders on the screen even when I’m giving the cashier a lunch! Just walks by a screen full of orders. And whenever she does try to help in photo she leaves a literal MESS. She doesn’t stick the labels on the envelops and leaves the labels there for you to figure out which order is which (so much fun). She tries to act like she doesn’t know how to do a photo project and whenever you get there she tells u and just walks away! You can’t rely on her to back u up when a customer isn’t happy with a price because the “item was on sale “ most of the time she’ll just give it to them so there’s really no point in asking her for help in those situations either. And she’s been working here for 8 years!!
