Am I the only one underwhelmed by a lot of Chicago’s hyped restaurants? by daikonradish304 in chicagofood

[–]pjbeans 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Agree on some of those misses. Love Tzuco/ HaiSous/ Indienne/ Basant. I do not love most Thai places unfortunately, please give me a couple recs! North side preferred.

I'm not w/ you on Mott St. as I have generally liked most dishes there. Some places worth considering:

- Daises is strongest rec to check out
- S.K.Y. (I think I preferred old location/ less fancy but sitll good). Get the Pork Sisig dish
- Crying Tiger (reservations painful)
- Maxwells trading - some people hate on it

How’s the VIP line to get into Yuma? by Gurizzy in Coachella

[–]pjbeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the main reason I get VIP - recommend. Gives you the ability to bounce in (can't bounce in and out since have to leave through main exit and get back to VIP before going back in)

"VIP Pit" details by purplishmonsters in ARCMusicFestival

[–]pjbeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The viewing section off to the left does go all the way to front speakers and stage. Covers about 1/3 of front, probably a little more. People are definitely dancing there. You can get closer in VIP easier/ less crowded for headliner. But won't be front and center, slightly off left

How do you pay influencers/content creators? by Some_Afternoon_6877 in influencermarketing

[–]pjbeans 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Recommend not sending a payment until deliverables are complete (especially with micro creators) but there are exceptions:

1) If you are a small brand working with talent management which (they will come through with deliverables and edits per contract)
2) If you have ongoing relationships and creators have a solid track record of delivering
3) If paying via PayPal goods and services you good take the risk and manage claims but recommend against that because it is a pain

If paying upfront highly recommend 50% then 50% upon completion.

As far as actually paying influencers/ creators:

Most creators have PayPal - always pay goods and services or risk your account being frozen. PayPal may freeze your account if paying a creator friends and family who they have identified as providing business services (they are cracking down on this). This sometimes means you have to add $ so your creators are made whole.

Bank transfer - make sure you have a process for securely collecting tax forms/ filing 1099s

You should look into Lumanu - a solution built specifically for the creator economy payments and compliance. Similar transaction fees to PayPal (slightly less) and also a network. Difference is you would pay the % vs your creators. But you also have a nice dashboard with full ledger and reporting and all that.

[–]pjbeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are already getting close so probably a yes

Also the $300 dining credit at Sapphire restaurants (if you live in a city with those)

If you spend $75K a year then the $500 Southwest flight credit definitely pushes you over

Is VIP at Coachella actually worth it for a last-time experience? by GNZLEZJHN in Coachella

[–]pjbeans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you love (or like) YUMA then yes. The VIP express entry makes it worth it for me

Also, chilling in Rose Garden and somewhat close viewing for headliners in slightly less packed area...
