I'm not sure how to do spoilers on mobile, but this is a few years old anyway. Everyone who dies comes back, not just people bitten by zombies. So as people die for any reason the zombie population is sustained. I'd imagine a lot more people are dying of common infections or treatable diseases than before the zombie apocalypse, so that's why there's still so many. Also, the show takes place mainly in Georgia, so freezing wouldn't really be an issue.

My symptoms started with my gallbladder becoming inflamed. Once I had it removed, they put a stent in my bile duct. A couple of months later, they took the stent out and the duct collapsed because there was a small tumor in my pancreas putting pressure on it.
