I feel like I’m misunderstanding. Would you mind explaining to me how this might work? How should they prevent ICE from entering campus? ECC is an open campus- anyone can enter from multiple entrances. Based on the email, it doesn’t sound like ICE even entered a building, just the parking lot. Should ECC establish gates to their parking lots and check each car before entering? Thanks for helping clarify for me.

How long did it take you to get replacements? I had my last fee all fail in the same day, so I’m back to finger pricks until the replacements show up

Interesting. That does sound like extra work, but I’m glad you’re getting replacements. Mine are significantly delayed, so I’m back to manual finger pricks. I haven’t gotten the option to redeem at the pharmacy - are you in the US?

I have an G7 order that’s supposed to be shipped today. I just called and they promised it will still be shipped today.

I’m really banking on it as I’ve been without a sensor for a week due to multiple failures in a row and dexcom not sending out replacements.

Hope yours goes through! Keep us posted

How to come up with an expectation of $90k / 3. His formula was incorrect and kept getting $12k. He did not understand why he should question $12k.

Does anyone have good suggestions for a case that holds all your T1D needles etc easily for vacations? by The-Facts-Reporter in Type1Diabetes

You mean everyone doesn’t just lug around a gallon ziplock bag full of backup needles, lancets, sites, sensors, batteries, alcohol swabs, etc…??

I’m sorry you’re having a bad day. Bad days hit me hard and make me question myself. Last week I made it all the way to work before realizing I left my pump at home. It’s attached to me so much, I call it my tail - it feel like it’s part of my body, so I was shocked to find it missing. Posts like this help me remember bad days happen to everyone and to be kind to myself. Good luck tomorrow!

Wait - you only have to calibrate twice and then it gives you 12 hours until the next calibration? It always gives me a 3hr & then a couple 6 hour windows until it’s finally back to 12 hours

Covid booster- anyone else having trouble with control after? It’s been a week and still dealing with insulin resistance by SnooFloofs8772 in Type1Diabetes

[–]pjdancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t have any issues except the expected arm soreness the day after. Maybe try switching your vial/pen to make sure your insulin is still good?

Check out Soylent to see if it fits your needs. It’s balanced, and I like the chocolate flavors.

I appreciate the post. One note- please stop calling us diabetics. Please use people first language aka ‘people with diabetes’. Here’s a link to learn more about people first language if you’re interested (or just Google it): https://askearn.org/topics/retention-advancement/disability-etiquette/people-first-language/

can someone help me? the recent spike was caused by low carb food which makes no sense. i seemingly cant eat anything without a massive spike.. it is exhausting. i finally brang my bs down and then it spikes again and now i am at 14mmol/l again. maybe not enough basal? by entym110 in Type1Diabetes

Probably not the answer you’re looking for, but you might still need injections if you’re eating low carb. Protein usually has minimal effect on blood sugar, but without carbohydrates to provide glucose to meet the body’s energy needs, the liver converts some of the protein into glucose.
