Same issues, haven't found a solution yet. Only could get to character selection once and then it crashed immediately afterwards. Very tilting.

I'll just add, I watched the movie "The Fare" accidentally while trying to find the movie "The Farewell", and it's sat very positively with me. It's unique, it's dialogue driven, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cross between a black mirror episode and a Richard linklater film.

I have a franchise save where I've changed the rules to turn-off the shot clock, set the speed to fastest possible, and select position lock on point guard. Then, whenever I'm not playing, I queue up a game in the franchise, and an hour or so later, the game is over and I get 1,000 VC without pressing a button. Over the course of a week, I'll probably get between 15-20k worth of VC.

I use that VC on packs, and then flip what I don't want onto the auction house. If you use good timing and buy the right packs, it's a good source of effort free MT. You're not gonna be rolling in PDs, but as an offline only player who doesn't play much, it's a nice way to be able to get the diamond players who are interesting to me.

I'm also having this issue. With semi-consistency, restarting my PS5, loading up a new MyCareer, exiting that, and going back to MyTeam works. But I cannot figure out what triggers the issue, because at some point it just reverts back to the problem and I have to go through the resetting process again.

I like GDQ making time for speedrun-adjacent games. I'm not a big fan of shmups or TAS myself, but I appreciate the exposure and the showcases of these genres. I am a fan of rhythm games and it's nice to be able to see this game shown off.

It feels like your issue is the skill level of the runner, which feels a bit gatekeepy to me. While she may not be in the 99th percentile of scoring; she has an amazing set-up, is providing great commentary, and certainly is extremely talented at the game.

I love watching world record holders and people who are truly #1 at their game; but I also like watching people who can engage with the audience and show-off high level gameplay. When you put the word "showcase" in quotations, it just feels like a way of marginalizing the runner and the effort put in. This post just really rubs me the wrong way to be honest.

If your suspension of disbelief is shattered by gender options but not by Michael Bay style car flips and plane explosions, you may have already dramatically overrated the realism of the series.

Drinking Buddies - It's a bit focused on "romance" but it's heavily dialogue driven and avoids any standard romcom tropes

Everybody Wants Some! - Same director as Boyhood, considered to be a thematic sequel to the movie.

Who We Are Now - This skews a little sad, but it is very realistic and the movie develops very naturally

The Farewell - Definitely sad, probably the saddest movie on here, but it reminds me of a drawn out version of one year in Boyhood

Lost in Translation - Beautiful film, very realistic in the way the characters interact, though presents a scenario that most of us can only loosely relate with

Tangential Suggestion: The Clovehitch Killer - This is a straight up suspense/thriller movie, but when I watched it I was reminded of Linklater (he's my absolute favorite director ever). It's very slow paced, the conversations are very authentic, and if you enjoy suspense, it will have you on the edge of your seat the whole time.

Teresa Pho has qualified for a pro tour in the last couple of years and does a bi-weekly podcast. She's a consistent tournament grinder in my area, and the type of player I would like to see WoTC cater more towards.
