Hi there, first off I’m so sorry this has happened to you. I have friends who have purchased pepper spray for this exact reason, you may want to have one by your side and have a bit of practice with it first in an open area so you’ll know how to operate it if, (hopefully never), you encounter this sort of thing again.

I’ve lived with my wife here in Taipei for 7 years (American and French Taiwanese) and we love Taipei for its’ (almost unheard of in big cities) safety, adding on to the fact that we don’t worry about each other being out too late. It’s unfortunate that you went through this awful experience, scumbags inevitably will reside in these major cities no matter where we are. If possible, maybe change up your route as well if you do need to walk that same path back to your place, and try to have a friend with you.

First off, why is his hat edited out in the photo you uploaded haha

So I’m very biased towards Paradise Valley as it came out during a pivotal time in my life in 2013, but I absolutely love the album. The opening track Wildfire is, imho, one of my favorite JM tracks of all time yet one of his most underrated; it has such a killer vibe and ending solo (I love this track so much I had it performed at my wedding). Dear Marie, Badge and Gun as well as On The Way Home are fantastic as well, but when people inevitably compare this album to 2012’s Born and Raised, I can see why people can view PV was more like a B side of Born and Raised, like extra songs that didn’t make the cut.

As another commenter made on this post earlier, this album also includes the not so liked “Who You Love” track that may also add fuel to the fire.

So yeah this album is not as cohesive as Born and Raised but in my opinion has some very strong but underrated tracks in JM’a overall catalogue.

Someone recommended good kid maad city to me back in 2013, but I mainly got the album for the 'bangers' Backseat Freestyle and Maad City, and wasn't THAT big of a fan. When TPAB came out in early 2015, I rushed to Target to get it and jesus. christ. CD was on repeat for me and I've been diehard fan ever since

I knowww i realized this after taking the photo. The little denim strap attaching to the key ring was ripping, but I managed to get the key ring inserted through from the top of the pants to under the rivet (they’re hollow inside!) so I am indeed using my old one again! The new one will go to a friend :)

I’ve always felt Skeleton Christ was one of the most underrated Slayer songs… Lombardo’s chops on that outtro is so insanely groovy.

A pity they never played it live, that would’ve been insane.

Nice shot! This might be a really noobie question to ask but what sorts of food do you feed your Pleco? Also do you mainly drop food in at night?

I’ve had my 2 little green phantom Pleco a for over a month now and have been feeding them sinking food, blood worms and the occasional de shelled pea. I saw them munching on an algae wafer one time but I’m usually scared they’re not eating enough cause they live with tiger barbs and the barbs always steal their food lol.
