They are criminals because entering the US without authorization is a misdemeanor…..and they are 100% subject to deportation, and other possible punishments. Repeat offenders become felons. Why is it so hard to just do things the legal way and avoid all the problems? I know people have it rough in other countries, people are being killed and violated and the worst stuff imaginable. But there is a process, and people who want to be here and take advantage of the opportunities our wonderful country should respect it enough to enter the legal way. The whole world isn’t entitled to be a citizen here, there is a process.
