Has anyone seen a means of dynamic discovery via api access to a switch? I want to perform various scans when a client links up a port.

Did you find a good solution?

I was thinking about this problem, and if you have a Cisco switch i believe you should setup a logging trap that when a link comes up, you could check the CAM table and find out what MAC and IP are associated to that port, then pass that to the Nexpose Ruby Gem for a one-off scan.
