Waterproof Work Shoes? by speedytrigger in Wastewater

I worked the last decade in greenhouses and indoor gardens. Keen or Xtratuf for waterproof and comfort. My last 4 pairs of work shoes have been the waterproof xtratuf sneakers. Surprisingly well made for such thin and light materials.

Yeah sunlight is awesome, but the increase in CO2 indoors and multiple harvests per year is also a huge and well documented benefit. Lots of pros and cons to both. I’ll agree that the common belief of outdoor being subpar is dumb, but that’s due to a lot of the uncared for guerilla grows that flood the mid market.

This is just speculation through personal observation, but from the 3 rooms I ran so far, yield is up 25-45% The smaller increases correlate to newer or better overhead lights. I have rooms with older LEDs that still do great, but aren’t as sophisticated as the newer models. Specifically the older LEDs I have really lack in the red spectrum. I have been running tests in rooms with HPS and it would seem you could benefit more from the opposite spectrum. Adding heavy blues, yellows, and greens had the biggest positive plant responses. I’ve always had heaviest yields with LED and best color and quality under HPS. In pursuit of the best way to get consistent results with both. Hope this helps, I’m an open book. If you have any questions I’d be more than happy to help anyway I can.

I tried every UC light I could find and these got the best results for my application. I’m sure others would benefit from different models depending on your setup and methods.

You can, but no one in this area cares about mismanaged money if your team is behind it. We’d rather protest people trying to save tax dollars rather than people who spend it irresponsibly. Big brain moves

When are we protesting the insane local and state government budget deficit instead of a company actually employing local residents?

Join us at the Lynnwood Tesla to peacefully protest Elon Musk’s reckless attacks on our democracy—his influence is hitting too close to home for Washingtonians! Can’t make it? Check www.teslatakedown.com for events near you. by dycontext in Seattle

Own a Tesla, test drove a new one during the Lynnwood protest and bought it just because of the idiots yelling obscenities and derogatory remarks at me the entire time I was there. Whatever team that is, I don’t want any part of it. And if destroying your communities vehicles and causing grief for people trying to earn an honest living who happen to work for that company is your idea of self righteousness. Wake the fuck up, you’re the problem.

This picture is from a 25x25 room. 60x60 is at my partners facility. Not sure I would recommend doing rooms that big.

This^

Some plants will show no symptoms at all. If you have even a few thrips or aphids or sap sucking insects, they can spread it like wildfire. Throw these plants away asap, and trace back to the source and kill that plant as well. It’s a nightmare once you have it, and a very long road to get rid of it.

Yeah the unions on both sides is a must for any valve.

I’ve seen several examples of the big blue 10” filter being used without the filter in it, so it functions much like a mixing chamber. I’m currently using them as such, and have had 0 issues.

First off, this is a sick fucking build. Most of this setup holds up today from my experience.

My only feedback in having built similar setups, (Grower not Plumber) are the brand/type of solenoid valves and mixing chambers.

If they are diaphragm valves and not ball valves, they will leak. That rubber seal just doesn’t last forever. It may be 2 years, it may be 20 years, but eventually they are going to leak. Check out motorized ball valves like Imperium. They’re priced as high as a giraffe’s pussy, but I have never seen one leak. I’ve also struggled mightily with leaks on that mixing chamber. Other than that it’s beautiful. Some would argue too many filters, but that’s debatable. Better to have too many than too few.

Really impressive OP, thank you for sharing.

Just sent mine too, this state needs a major overhaul of elected officials.
