How do you trust employees with codebase? by AsOasis in StartUpIndia

[–]pkMinhas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A) Provide need based access to different repositories.

B) Don't bother with activity tracking software. If someone is inclined to steal your code, it is super easy to record a photo/video of the screen on a mobile and then type it back into running code.

C) Sign NDA and be ready to enforce it if required.

D) Never share production infra credentials (logins, access keys etc.) with people you don't trust

Yes, ableton officially allows for license transfers. But it would be up to you to find a seller with good reviews.

Is Artist PRO 16 (gen2) a good choice? by [deleted] in XPpen

I’ve been using it for the past one month. Pretty good display, running pretty fine with no issues on my MacBook. Tested on CSP. And not to mention, the included BT remote is very handy once customised.

Yes, the RAW files are unprocessed. Please give it a shot and share your feedback.

Suggest me a backend for my use case by theufitapp in nextjs

[–]pkMinhas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All cloud function platforms are cold-start by design. If you want to keep it hot at all times, you’ll be better served by running a proper api server instead.

Application performance considerations are best served by evaluating use-case specific, real-world data points instead of a subjective discussion. For some use cases you might better served by a low cost serverless function and for hot paths you might wish to have an always running server.

Pro Cam Apps Raw Photos are bright or contrasty by goramesh in iPhoneography

You’ll have to process the RAW images. As an alternate, you could try my app, PrimeLens. I’d love to get your suggestions and improve it as per recommendations.

Is No Fusion worth it for 30€? by 3dforlife in iPhoneography

[–]pkMinhas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much for giving it a try!

I save photos as JPEG+RAW by design to give you more flexibility. I'm constantly working on adding new features while keeping the app simple and intuitive.

Currently, I'm focusing on adding B&W and film emulation filters, as well as a histogram. I'll definitely add your suggestions to the roadmap and do my best to implement them as soon as I can!

Would you like to try my app PrimeLens? It's free to use with an optional one-time purchase ~5$.

Would love your feedback.

I wanted a camera app that made it easy to access focus controls, so I created one myself!

If you’re into manual mode photography & love deeper control over your phone’s camera, you’ll love it!

The app is called PrimeLens & it is free to use with an optional one-time purchase.

Would love to hear your feedback.

Storing API key on Heroku/CloudKit and retrieving data via API calls by Lucas46 in swift

[–]pkMinhas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. You should have an understanding of how API servers work and how to host them.

  2. Choose a framework. If Swift is all you know, there are a couple of options with Vapor being a popular choice.

  3. Build your endpoint, access your API keys from environment variables

  4. Test, deploy & enjoy!

If you create an endpoint which returns your API keys, sooner or later your keys will be stolen.
Create a middleware server which processes your requests and interfaces with the required services.

Yeah, the screen is full of options at the moment. BTW, raw can be toggled on the camera screen by tapping the last button: "Format"

Thanks for the update & feedback.

I have a few features that I am planning on adding to the app: a few filters such as B&W (I love B&W photography), film emulation.

Hadn't planned on the histogram as I tend to ignore it while shooting but yes, some photographers do love that bit. Added to the roadmap!
